Historia
In today’s age of descent, many Christians feel discouraged and overwhelmed by the cultural sentiment that the truth has become unknowable. Yet despite this widespread uncertainty, God’s truth remains firm and unchanging, and when you turn to His Word seeking wisdom, you’ll find it extends even to the controversial topics of our day.

Excellent topic with a caveat
Revisado: 05-08-24
The content of this book is much needed, excellently researched and proved. However, I don’t think the audio works as well as the print version because the narrator interrupts the flow of many, many sentences with lists of Scripture references. While it is very helpful and important to understand the Scriptural references, it jarringly interrupts the understanding of the point of the sentences. (I listen at 1.7 speed so my brain stays focused on the topic and doesn’t wander, so perhaps I wouldn’t have this problem if I slowed it down, but then I’d struggle with attending to the content.) Many of the sentences are broken up with as many as 10 verse references or more interspersed in one sentence. While I appreciate those references in a print copy, my brain can’t keep track of the point of the sentence in an audio book. If I want to dig into the Scripture references, I’d rather consult a bibliography or footnote in a written copy. I kept feeling like I was being unhelpfully interrupted every time I was trying to grasp the author’s point. It’s a meaty book that needs your full attention, but that’s difficult with all the parenthetical interruptions. This complaint should also be translated as a praise, because the content is deep and very relevant.

Number one nationally best-selling author and political commentator Michael Knowles masterfully traces the history and effects of political correctness from the early 20th century to the present, revealing its insidious roots, exposing the power-hungry language architects behind its ever-growing control, and examining what this concerted manipulation of speech means for the future of American culture, politics, and minds.

Lots of points to ponder
Revisado: 07-27-22
I can’t recommend this book highly enough. We are surrounded by illogical thinking and indoctrinating slogans that inform our thoughts and actions. Michael Knowles does an excellent job of challenging some of our culture’s most fiercely guarded tenets. Be prepared to take notes and be ready to have your assumptions revealed. Together we can win the war of words as we take back the right to define terms and to set standards of decency and consideration.

In this powerful audiobook, pastor, professor, and leading cultural apologist Voddie Baucham explains the sinister worldview behind the social justice movement and how it has quietly spread like a fault system, not only through our culture, but throughout the evangelical church in America. He also details the devastation it is already wreaking - and what we can do to get back on solid ground before it’s too late.

It’s a Sin Issue with a Gospel Solution
Revisado: 07-27-21
Everything you need to know to recognize this popular false doctrine is in this book. If you only read one book on this topic, this should be it. He explains how we got here and how we can root it out of our own minds and churches. Solidly biblical. Racism is a sin issue. The Gospel is the answer. Christians know this. We need to walk in Truth.

Historia
The bumper-sticker directive to ‘follow the science’ was actually an evasion of responsibility. It let people off the hook for their bad decisions in a crisis. Was New York Governor Cuomo’s executive order sending COVID-hospitalized patients back to nursing homes to infect other vulnerable nursing home patients ‘following the science’? Relative to the total nursing home population, Governor Cuomo contributed to a larger percentage of nursing-home deaths - especially when compared to the states without such a policy.

A Must Read
Revisado: 05-26-21
This book details the bizarre, fact-filled true story of how the medical world and politics failed to respond to the COV2 threat in a legal and a moral manner. It further explains how a safe and effective treatment was maligned through fear-based tactics that were proven false. It briefly touches on how fear can manipulate people into making irrational decisions and how American medicine is influenced by politics. It lightly touches on the death of real science in favor of profit and control. Put this book in your arsenal of tools to help you better understand the COV2 tragedy and some brief thoughts on what we can do about it. The detailed White Paper at the end is worth the cost of the entire book.

I have very much so enjoyed this book as well as the first and third books in the series. I have read this particular book several times and love the voice they chose to read it. He plays the characters voices well. Just as I have imagined their voices when I read the green ember books in paper back.

disappointing
Revisado: 08-16-17
I was hoping for information on how to improve the soil on our farm. However, this book is clearly dedicated to propagating the myth of global warming and the author's belief in the theory of evolution. I thought I might still be able to listen and get enough information to be worth the time, but I've given up because the information is minor compared to the huge volume of propaganda that is required to wade through for the helpful information.

One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

I couldn't finish
Revisado: 10-10-16
I've heard so much about the author that I tried very hard to see something redeeming in the book. I like to read books with differing world views to understand how people think, but I just couldn't make myself listen anymore. Ridiculous characters in a bizarre world. If there are really people like any of the main characters in the real world, I prefer to never interact with them. The heroes and the antagonists are about the same and occasionally seem to switch roles. I got about halfway through. The only redeeming thing about the book was the narrator.

Useable information in a short trip of books
Revisado: 02-03-16
This set of 3 audio titles is a compilation of research that the author put together and drew some seemingly valid conclusions. While there's nothing earth-shaking here, it's a great tool to energize you to put together some good routines and habits in order to be more productive. I thoroughly enjoy these types of books as long as I get one good nugget out of them, so this was a win for me. I enjoy listening to books read by the author, and this one is.
