Horribly condescending

This book made me so angry. I was only hoping to learn about various penalties and make sure some assumptions I made were correct. This woman only explains the game in the context of using sports knowledge to become appealing to guys. It's insulting. She makes the assumption that the reader is an imbecile. Did you really need to clarify that the team with he most points at the end of the game wins? At one point she tells the reader to "suck it up" and learn the stuff she is telling you, and then she proceeds to define the phrase "suck it up."

All the feels

This is a great page turner. It has the dystopian feel of Hunger Games and Divergent, the clue-gathering mystery of the DaVinci Code, the spirit and nostalgia of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and the universal message of The Giver. It was so much fun.

Sometimes he pronounces character names straight up wrong (Illyn Payne, Brienne, Petyr Baelish), but overall it is a great reading. Very listen-able and good pacing.
