Awesome character building

Awesome character building and character interaction, even with the ancillary characters. I don't know if the reviews claiming there was no plot were by people who read the same book as I did. There was definitely a plot, and I can't wait to see how it turns out in the next book. I have my hopes as to how it turns out, and I can't imagine it turning out a different way, but I have a feeling this author will surprise me in a way that that will satisfy.. narration was wonderful. The intonation and pace were good, and I never had to wonder which character was speaking and when the narrator was just narrating. Good job.

Eleven books in and I still can't get enough. Kudos to the narrators, whose skill becomes more and more evident with each volume. Thank you, Diana Knightley, for such an intricate, exciting, engrossing saga.

needs dual narration.

The first chapter almost made me drop it, but it got better quickly. Narration was great for the female voices, but all the male voices by the female narrator soundedd like 15 year old boys, or Rudolph from the Christmas special. From the cover picture of our hero, I expected a more manly voice. The story was good and easy to follow, and had a good amount of intrigue fort a short book. The steam was ancillary and didn't fit in the story line - should either be expanded or dropped. I was able to guess some of the plot too early, but otherwise we'll written.

This was both hot and top-notch writing! narration did not disappoint. Loved having separate male and female vocals, and each did the opposite gender vocal well. Rich characters without feeling contrived, And believably intelligent love interests, with minute understandable glitches, not hanging to resort to naive misunderstandings to force conflict into the love story. Loved this couple and this story thoroughly.

I loved it. but u thought it was going to be a stand alone novel, and was disappointed the story didn't resolve itself at the end.

Enchanting, addictive, gripping romance

Loved this book when I read it years ago, and I'm absolutely in love with the audible version. Davina Porter is superb at using unique and appropriate voices for the different characters, and the cadence is perfection. The combination of Gabaldon and Porter is engrossing and poetic.
