Pregnant and recently divorced, she and her seven-year-old daughter find refuge and solace on Pawleys Island, South Carolina—Jillian’s only source of happy childhood memories. Just as good as I remembered!
Revisado: 04-15-24
I read this years ago but failing eyesight made me listen to audio books. After searching for this book with the many others by Karen I learned it wasn’t available in audio format. Well now I’m happy to have found it again! Thanks! It was just as good as I remembered.

I really appreciate the non scary writings of Stephen King and this one was really good. So good that you really can’t stop once you start.

I like this new narrator for Holly
Revisado: 10-18-23
She made Holly so much more real! I love Patton but his dramatic voice doing a female isn’t as natural as this lady.

Contrived.

I listen to two episodes. I wanted it to be more flesh and bone, but it sounds like an AI written podcast.. the characters don’t have character. The story and the dialogue sound as if it was written by talented high school children. There’s no point in the story of the two episodes that I felt like I could connect with any of the characters. Everything sounds fake and tired. I wanted it to be more human and even if just the child didn’t sound that human I would’ve been fine, but at no point did any part of the dialogue sound remarkable or relatable.

Over the last 40 years, Stuart Woods has written more than 90 novels of suspense and intrigue, beginning with the award-winning Chiefs. Featuring iconic crime-fighting and jet-setting leads, the plots are masterfully conceived and wonderfully escapist. What many readers and listeners don’t know is that Woods' very own life was filled with similar stories of adventure.

Funeral music
Revisado: 09-17-17
Story was great. Not a mystery but a good heartfelt story that was interesting but the funeral piano was more than I preferred.
