I needed to be reminded and introduced to many of the talking points in this book. I recommend it.

Historia
Lena wrote You're Lying! because no matter what your profession or life circumstances, you need the skills to take control of a situation, detect deception, and reveal the truth. While you probably won't ever have to interrogate a detainee who doesn't want to tell you about an upcoming terrorist attack - as Lena has - You're Lying! will help you deal with that salesperson trying to rip you off, the kid bullying your child who claims innocence, a cheating spouse, or a dissembling boss.

A very good unclassified explanation
Revisado: 08-04-23
Having tenured some of the same education as the author, I decided to give this title a listen. Most selections of this nature seem very open to interpretation. Lena describes the method very precisely as intended and explains the possible outcomes of each. This is a very good way to introduce a method in a practical way for application. Give it a listen.

The 2 stars and below ratings are wrong
Revisado: 03-04-23
The book is a good read and doesn’t claim to be an independent source for raising a child. It offers insight and does a great job at it. I’m not a religious person at all or homophonic nor do I see how either of those would play a role in the context of what I read/listened to.
Listen and you’ll agree. It is a good choice.

Are men literally born to cheat? Does monogamy actually serve women's interests? These are among the questions that have made The Moral Animal one of the most provocative science books in recent years. Wright unveils the genetic strategies behind everything from our sexual preferences to our office politics - as well as their implications for our moral codes and public policies.

This book changed my life
Revisado: 03-04-23
I own hardcover, digital and audio version of this book and reference it often. What seem to be complicated subjects or behaviors are broken down and analyzed in such a primal way that many problems we face currently seem to be from remnant instinctual behaviors and habits. Recognizing this helps counter them tremendously.
The examples given are vast and the content is robust. There can be very statistical parts mixed with other factual data, biographical/geographical etc., that can seem to carry on in parts but overall, a must read!

Historia
In The Righteous Mind, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the origins of our divisions and points the way forward to mutual understanding. His starting point is moral intuition - the nearly instantaneous perceptions we all have about other people and the things they do. These intuitions feel like self-evident truths, making us righteously certain that those who see things differently are wrong. Haidt shows us how these intuitions differ across cultures, including the cultures of the political left and right.

One hell of an attention getter
Revisado: 02-24-22
I took this on via suggestion from a friend and was immediately drawn in by the shock value created by hypothetical visualization and/or comparisons. This maintains throughout as well as the stark realizations that occurs as you progress. A very interesting and, at times, introspective look into the workings of the world we live in and what got us here.
