Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior, there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning, a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove's mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale.

Historia
Despite constant efforts to declutter your home, do papers still accumulate like snowdrifts and clothes pile up like a tangled mess of noodles?Japanese cleaning consultant Marie Kondo takes tidying to a whole new level, promising that if you properly simplify and organize your home once, you'll never have to do it again. Most methods advocate a room-by-room or little-by-little approach, which doom you to pick away at your piles of stuff forever.

Never thought I would get much from this book, just listened to see what this Kondo tidying up stuff was all about. Now I have been "touched"! This book inspires the reader to re-think every item in the house. I am living in clutter that I just put up with. I am now ridding my space of all things that do not "spark joy"...... Sounds nuts! But I dare you to listen to this book and try not to think differently. Glad I did!

Nellie Bly, born Elizabeth Jane Cochran on May 5, 1864, was an American journalist, author, and charity worker who received initial renown after writing a stinging expose of the mistreatment of the mentally ill while faking insanity and living undercover at a New York mental institution. At a time when women were just beginning to break into the field of journalism, the type of undercover investigative reporting undertaken by Bly set an important precedent, allowing her to successfully pioneer working in the male dominated field of newspaper writing.

Quite a story. This is a book of horrors. It made me feel like what it must have been to be in this situation with no way out. The writer must have been brave or half nuts to make it through the full ten days.

The near ration was very good. She made the characters come alive. I could tell who is speaking before she even said who it was. Well done Caitlin Davis!

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Always left me smiling!
Revisado: 10-17-12
What did you love best about Hounded?
Oberon added the "joy factor" to this book. And the Widow was a great friend for Adicus, bringing the ageless depth of his long existance into living color.
What did you like best about this story?
The first person narration was fantastic. The voice of Oberon's thoughts, and the friendship between him and Adicus was fun for us dog lovers. Kevin Hearne must have good experience with dogs, the actions were perfect and the added imagination of Oberon gave him the almost human charistics we like to think our dogs have.
Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first Luke Daniels book, but I have downloaded the next two. I am happy to see they all have the same narrator.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! This book was hard to turn off......I found myself making excuses to get away to listen to it.
Any additional comments?
This book as a whole was incredibly enjoyable. The witches were fun, and the frindships with the "widow" and Oberon made me feel good. I had just finished a very heavy long audio book that brought me to tears so I needed a good uplifting story.......I got much more than just a good book, as this book has taken first place of all the audio books I have listened to in the past year!
Thank you Keven Hearne and Luke Daniels! You guys compliment each other well.

Letter to Amanda
Revisado: 05-15-12
What made the experience of listening to Your First Listen the most enjoyable?
The letter was read like the person was writing it, and their thoughts flowed. It was a time lapes of a bit of a stalker/phyco thinking he was crushing Amanda by breaking up with her. It was funny how he progressed in his phycotic behavior.
What other book might you compare Your First Listen to and why?
none
Which scene was your favorite?
when I realized that the man writing the letter was progressing into a stalker.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
when he threw the brick through her front window to make sure she got his note.
Any additional comments?
I found the series of letters very enjoyable. thank you
