Historia
Less than 250,000 people live in the Northern Territory, an area more than twice the size of Texas. If you want to escape from civilisation, you don’t have to go far. But you can’t outrun the heat. Every year during October and November the sweltering climate can drive people wild; they call it ‘Suicide Season’, ‘Mango Madness’ or, more plainly, ‘The Build-up’. It’s during this blistering heat that Jim O’Connell’s body is found in a creek bed, mummified and with his genitals removed.

Sad Australian story
Revisado: 04-16-20
Well told story of grief and tragedy. In depth and authentic with plenty of mystery and a good pace. Worth a listen to anyone who loves true crime stories even more so for those that love a look into a part of the world they probably will never travel.

Historia
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

Enjoyed it and it was over before I knew it. Almost a neutral look into the events as well which was nice to not see a bunch of opinions and feelings flying around but lots of historical facts and accounts of hidden events in American History not talked about by the people I have met growing up.

Forced gags and huge plot holes. I worked insurance for years so I figured I could suffer this but it was honestly the worst thing I have ever read. I would rather read children’s books.
