Historia
When Louise finds out her parents have died, she dreads going home. She doesn’t want to leave her daughter with her ex and fly to Charleston. She doesn’t want to deal with her family home, stuffed to the rafters with the remnants of her father’s academic career and her mother’s lifelong obsession with puppets and dolls. She doesn’t want to learn how to live without the two people who knew and loved her best in the world. Most of all, she doesn’t want to deal with her brother, Mark, who never left their hometown, gets fired from one job after another, and resents her success.

My favorite haunted house
Revisado: 12-03-24
I loved the book. I don't want to spoil the plot but hands down my best horror book of 2024. I can't wait to see what netflix does with the rights to the book.
The voice acting was perfect kept my interest from start to finish. The characters were well-rounded and I was scared for them when Pupkin was pulling out the pins. The family had a lot of trauma and the story does deal with grief.
Overall 10/10 and one of the best this year.

Arek hadn’t thought much about what would happen after he completed the prophecy that said he was destined to save the Kingdom of Ere from its evil ruler. So now that he’s finally managed to (somewhat clumsily) behead the evil king (turns out magical swords yanked from bogs don’t come pre-sharpened), he and his rag-tag group of quest companions are at a bit of a loss for what to do next. As a temporary safeguard, Arek’s best friend and mage, Matt, convinces him to assume the throne until the true heir can be rescued from her tower. Except that she’s dead.

So sweet
Revisado: 09-18-23
I don’t know how those two didn’t know that the other was in love. It was a fun take on an almost modern fantasy.
The voice actor did a great job. My only complaint was how he voiced Shawna. It always took me back a second when the character spoke.
I can’t wait to read more by this author .

It was a great Persephone/Hades retelling. The characters are well done and came off as genuine, and the narrator was awesome. If you like to Lore of Olympus or Neon Gods, this is the book for you.

Historia
Valentine Layton, the Duke of Malvern, has twin problems: literally. It was always his father’s hope that Valentine would marry Miss Arabella Tarleton. But, unfortunately, too many novels at an impressionable age have caused her to grow up...romantic. So romantic that a marriage of convenience will not do and after Valentine’s proposal she flees into the night determined never to set eyes on him again. Arabella’s twin brother, Mr. Bonaventure “Bonny” Tarleton, has also grown up...romantic. And fully expects Valentine to ride out after Arabella.

Another fun work by the author
Revisado: 05-31-23
It was a fun Regency piece that tiptoed the line of accuracy and fun. I enjoyed the characters even though I truly believe that Ms. tarlatan old have more of an apology. Valentine wasn’t always in the wrong, even if the other characters tried to convince him that he was the one who lost his temper. I was got the book and that I have a happy note.
The voice acting was great and genuinely funny.

A fan fiction for a world still in the authors head.
Revisado: 05-18-23
This is a standalone novel in the series. The voice acting is really interesting and distinct for each character.
My real issue is with the plot and the in the rules of the fantasy. Something’s were done to just rush the characters to bed. Honestly alto went from hating his kidnapper to bedding him real quick. The politics of the world were interesting, but not well thought out.
Honestly, I rolled my eyes in the final act when the big bad reveal themselves but I don’t want to give spoilers.
Like I said, this book would be a great fanfiction for a more developed series.

Historia
Max Remus couldn't care less about finding his mate—unlike the rest of his fate-obsessed pack. He totally prefers hanging with his bestie, eating his dad's steak sandwiches, and drawing in his trusty sketchbook. But all that is about to change at the Blue Moon Festival—a summer camp where Elite Pack wolves go to find their mates. The festival is a rite of passage for every teen werewolf, and this year's festival will be one to howl home about. The alpha's son, Jasper Apollo, is attending for the first time.

Great narration but toxic relationships
Revisado: 03-14-23
The narrator was great, although some of his female characters were a struggle for him. They sometimes came off as a bit monotone. And I never saw Elenor as “hyper” as they described her
I enjoyed the story and listen to it in a couple days. I thought the concept was fun, but it definitely catered to a younger audience (middle school) which honestly was a nice change from the adult stuff.
*spoilers* The ending does setup the story for a
sequel, but I don’t know if I really wanna continue the story if Max is just going to continue to be pushed away. This relationship is straight toxic at points. Jasper just ignores and belittles him. The story and side characters tries to give Jasper a reason but they sound like someone making up excuses for an abusive boyfriend. “He has so much pressure from his dad to be the perfect son.” “He can’t make a mistake” “he is grumpy but really a nice guy”
Also, honestly, I don’t know if the boys know if they are truly gay, just platonic soulmates or on the spectrum of asexuality I guess it could be a great story for asexual representation if the author would have just said that. Maybe that is something to explore in the next book. Maybe the author wanted to keep the rating down but I think Max should have explored his own feelings and his own identity.

A historical fiction
Revisado: 02-18-23
The story it was fun. Sometimes the voice acting felt a little off but overall I did enjoy the reader.
There were some liberties taken with the actual H. H. Holmes case so don’t come looking for historical accuracy in this fictional work.

Great voice acting
Revisado: 01-28-23
I loved the reader and the idea. It was great to see other towns. It was a like a well written fan fiction.
However, it could have been an hour shorter. It dragged a little in the middle but overall fun.
