The humanization of individuals being at the center of the growth story. It was such a quick read.

Historia
Rose Howard has OCD, Asperger's syndrome, and an obsession with homonyms (even her name is a homonym). She gave her dog Rain a name with two homonyms (Reign, Rein), which, according to Rose's rules of homonyms, is very special. Rain was a lost dog Rose's father brought home. Rose and Rain are practically inseparable. And they are often home alone, as Rose's father spends most evenings at a bar, and doesn't have much patience for his special-needs daughter.

Not a very good representation
Revisado: 09-26-17
The story had a good plot line, however I didn't feel like a lot of research went into representing autistics. The author did not explain what the autistic character was thinking and feeling, and her behavior was completely unexplained as if to suggest that autistics are unpredictable or strange. I would also like to see an aspie character who isn't so stereotypical. Overall, not a very accurate representation.

I loved the book. It was riveting from the beginning and an awesome ending. Plus the narrator made it come to life for me.
