Historia
Another day, another hijacked body. And just 13 hours to solve a murder…Detective Vincent Graves has made a habit of dying. Waking up in someone else’s body isn’t pleasant, especially when it's inside a coffin with tons of dirt pressing down on it. Once he’s out, he learns his soul has 13 hours to find the borrowed body’s killer. With the help of a brilliant FBI agent, Vincent’s quest for clues leads to a looming supernatural presence. And escaping the dark threat may be impossible with his ever-ticking clock… Can Vincent close the case in time?

Low number or ratings for a new Series
Revisado: 01-25-23
I discovered this series and author by looking at Travis' narration history. I was kind of timid on the purchase but glad I did. I just finished the 3rd book and look forward the continuation of the series. I think I like the 3rd book the best so far. The characters seem to be getting flushed out more and the struggles each has to work through adds to to their personalities. I'm not much on paranormal stories but I like how Virdi builds upon lore and adds style to it. Like everyone has said, Dresden files meets Quantum Leap but I would like to throw include the Iron Druid series as well for categorization.

Couldn't finish the book...
Revisado: 02-13-13
I don't think I was committed to the book. When they explain some cryptography by telling you equations and spitting out numbers, it's hard to focus on. I'm a geek/nerd by nature and this stuff is interesting however I think I'd need to see it on paper to understand it. I wasn't attached to the characters either.

Historia
In 1942, Lawrence Pritchard Waterhouse - mathematical genius and young Captain in the US Navy - is assigned to detachment 2702. It is an outfit so secret that only a handful of people know it exists, and some of those people have names like Churchill and Roosevelt. The mission of Watrehouse and Detachment 2702 - commanded by Marine Raider Bobby Shaftoe - is to keep the Nazis ignorant of the fact that Allied Intelligence has cracked the enemy's fabled Enigma code. In the present, Waterhouse's crypto-hacker grandson, Randy, is attempting to create a "data haven" in Southeast Asia....

Historia
This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.

Hard for me to finish
Revisado: 02-13-13
I think this is one of the few books that would have been better to read. I couldn't get into the story due to the narrator. The southern drawl is terrible. I also had issues with some of the characters. I can't go into detail due to spoilers.

Historia
My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

My friends wondered where I was all weekend...
Revisado: 03-14-11
Amazing book. Amazing series. I basically haven't done anything for the past 3 days so I could listen to it all. Every time I read/listen to a story on this level, I feel empty when I have to wait for the next. I agree with the extra time spent on it. It was worth it.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Another Addiction
Revisado: 03-29-10
I never write reviews but I do usually rate the audio books I truly consume my life. If you love Jim Butcher's Princeps' Fury and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Series, you'll love this first installment of Patrick Rothfuss. The narration is great due to the degree of character separation which ends up being entertaining story telling. I only wish I could find more series like this. I've ran out of scifi/fantasy books to listen to and crave more...

Hack the Planet!
Revisado: 02-08-09
If you are into computers, have a good technical background, love science fiction, and still watch the movie Hackers from time to time, you will enjoy this audio book. This would be a great movie but would it would suck if it was made on a cheap budget. Well done Daniel Suarez. I will look forward to future books by you. Do I see a sequel in the future?
