Revisado: 07-10-17
Where does Locke & Key rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Easily top 10, the narration is crazy good, the details vivid and the story's really well done; it's poignant and spooky. I wanna listen to it again its so good but i have some other books to listen to. Crazy that this is the first graphic novel to be done in an audiobook format (if i heard that right?) because that was a ride!

Historia
When Bernie Sanders began his race for the presidency, it was considered by the political establishment and the media to be a "fringe" campaign, something not to be taken seriously. After all, he was just an independent senator from a small state with little name recognition. His campaign had no money, no political organization, and it was taking on the entire Democratic Party establishment. By the time Sanders' campaign came to a close, however, it was clear that the pundits had gotten it wrong.

We got 99 problems... and they all billionaires!
Revisado: 03-11-17
Any additional comments?
First, I loved the choice to have Mark Ruffalo read the section of the book that he did, it made me laugh when he would quote Bernie, knowing that Bernie wrote the book and was quoting himself in his book...
Second, this book is awesome and really poignantly details the multifaceted degredation that our country is facing in the present/future. He shows how egocentric our government has become and provides logical and ecocentric our government should be.
Third, it's not a socialist cult book like Karl Marx but is more a cultural wake up call that in all honesty everyone regardless of political stance or opinion would benefit from.
Fourth/fifth/sixth, if you were conservative in america you may hear ideas to subjects that can benefit everyone regardless of religious connotations that have shrouded political discussion in america for years. I think we all can agree how toxic and parasitic the big banks, oil and pharmaceutical companies have become to the health and wealth in america and this needs to be stopped.
If you are liberal, you will love it, its quintescential bernie.
If you are moderate you will realize ALOT and this may change your mind on several ideologies.
Lastly, I loved this book, you could finally hear bernie's full true sentiments detailed in basically a really long political rally. They both were very talented narrators as well. 10/10 would listen again, 10/10 will share with friends.

Growing a perfect moustache, grilling red meat, wooing a woman - who better to deliver this tutelage than the always charming, always manly Nick Offerman, best known as Parks and Recreation's Ron Swanson? Combining his trademark comic voice and very real expertise in woodworking - he runs his own woodshop - Paddle Your Own Canoe features tales from Offerman's childhood in small-town Minooka, Illinois, to his theater days in Chicago, beginnings as a carpenter/actor and the hilarious and magnificent seduction of his now-wife Megan Mullally.

On my way to the lumber yard!
Revisado: 04-18-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Paddle Your Own Canoe to be better than the print version?
Didn't read the print, but Nick did say there were some fantastic drawings of mustachio clad men which i've sorely missed. However with the book you would miss all the Offerman angst, man chuckles, and suspensory pauses. You get to know his story, plain and simple. And its a pretty good story. Especially his bits about Megan and his sloww rolling snowball of a career. Be prepared to want to stop by a liquor store and pick up some scotch (even though you don't drink), the lumber yard (even though you don't remember how to use a circular saw), and forget to shave for the rest of your foreseeable life. Very glad i picked up this book, it will definitely help you find a delicious life of your own.

Revisado: 04-18-16
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the character interactions very much especially ford and arthur's. Great chemistry and witty humor. Unfortunately I seldom laughed as enthusiastically as I though I would. Perhaps it was my mood or whatever. I will definitely give it another go in a couple months. Maybe it'll hit me harder. Fry was masterful and I totally forgot he was even the one reading it.

Historia
It is a tale of ghosts, of madness, of revenge - of old alliances giving way to new intrigues. Denmark is changing, shaking off its medieval past. War with Norway is on the horizon. And Hamlet - son of the old king, nephew of the new - becomes increasingly entangled in a web of deception - and murder. Beautifully performed by actor Richard Armitage ("Thorin Oakenshield" in the Hobbit films), Hamlet, Prince of Denmark takes Shakespeare’s original into unexpected realms, reinventing a story we thought we knew.

Damn what a treasure!
Revisado: 04-05-16
What does Richard Armitage bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
That timbre of his voice is uncanny and made this story so much more gothic, and mystique.
Any additional comments?
I'm so glad I listened to this book, this adaptation, this version against the original Hamlet Story. Be aware this will not be the same story you might have "read" in high school. But you will hear why in the post script. It is phenomenal, an original yet genuine piece of work. I enjoyed every melodramatic muse, every over emphatic declaration, everything was a joy. You will love it. You may hate it. But you cannot escape this story. You will listen cover to cover.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Ayo Jimla! Down the Rabbithole we go!
Revisado: 04-05-16
What did you like best about this story?
The propensity for George to continue his quest to kill JFK even though he's found everything he ever wanted in life. It reminded me of people who love their lives but their job or their duty forces them to leave the things they love to do something for the rest of the world, something bigger than themselves.
I also liked the characters, the iconic school personas, and the idea of the "obdurate" and "harmonizing" past. Although, if i never hear that phrase again in my life, i will be very happy.
What does Craig Wasson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The intense emotional performance of Craig Wasson was memorable beyond comparison. I can still hear the break in his voice during one of the more intense scenes and it resonnated with me more than the words could have.

"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is.."
Revisado: 02-09-16
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Good lord yes, and I very nearly did. I was enraptured with every word, every nuiance of this thrilling tale from the very first book to the very final pause. I listened to this in 5 days time however I would have loved to sit captivated by Jim Dale's command of so many character's voices and emotions.
Any additional comments?
I do not want to spoil one thing, not a word, not a recollection and most importantly not your judgement to read this superb book. A triumphant finale to the most gripping tale I have ever had the pleasure to read, and now reread. As a fanatic of the films as a teenager, I had forgotten all the emotions I had felt and was blessed with the opportunity to listen to these books somewhat organically once more. This book connected every plot arc, it answered the unanswerable questions, and it inspired me to look into audiobook narrating as a new hobbiventure. I had chills more times than I can count and cried two whole tears. Very rare for me and an audiobook. Well done.

Any additional comments?
It is impossible to answer a question about this book without being the biggest prattling spoiler spilling flubberworm on the planet. So many scenes where we finally get answers, answers to things we didn't think we needed. So many scenes that moved me but I can't say why or when because thats the mystique, the grandeur of this tale. This book is a perfect keystone to this entire 7 part story. Although this was 18+ hours, it felt a lifetime and also like a secon. It feels like just yesterday I was listening to the fifth book, yet I was SOO transfixed with this story I found myself wide mouthed, sitting on my stationary bike and no longer peddling. Damn good book.

"HE'S BACK?!"
Revisado: 02-03-16
What made the experience of listening to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Book 5 the most enjoyable?
It's hard to give enough praise to JK or Jim Dale, as it is well known that this collection of novels/audiobooks is easily the g.o.a.t. That being said I found this book to be most enjoyable. It has been some 10 years since I'd read the books and having had the movies in my head was pleasantly surprised by the information, twists and character developments I had utterly forgotten how marvelous the da was, how appalling professor umbridge can be, how shifty the ministry was, how marvelously brave/intelligent Hermione was. Love this story, I was completely addicted to this Audiobook.
