A BBC radio recreation of the Marx Brothers’ lost shows, starring Michael Roberts and Frank Lazarus. First broadcast on America’s NBC network between 1932-33, Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel charted the exploits of shady lawyer Waldorf T Flywheel (played by Groucho Marx) and his dopey assistant, Emmanuel Ravelli (played by Chico Marx). The original recordings were lost, but the scripts were rediscovered and edited by Michael Barson. These were published as Flywheel, Shyster & Flywheel: The Marx Brothers Lost Radio Show and licensed for a dramatic adaptation by the BBC.

This is one of the best collections I have ever bought. The cast is perfect & it made me feel like I was listening to the real brothers. If you love the Marx brothers than this collection is a must have.

Our Miss Brooks was a hit on radio from the outset; within eight months of its launch as a regular series, the show landed several honors, including four for Eve Arden, who won polls in four individual publications of the time. Arden had actually been the third choice to play the title role. Harry Ackerman, at the time CBS's West Coast director of programming, wanted Shirley Booth for the part.

Incredible price for such a large collection, includes pilot with Shirley Booth (Hazel) playing the lead role. The entire cast Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Richard Crenna (Rambo films), Jeff Chandler (1st Phillip Boynton), Robert Rockwell (2nd Phillip Boynton), Jane Morgan, & Gloria McMillan work incredibly together. A couple of shows have less than perfect sound but most of the collection is very high quality, & is a great value.

I listened to a few of these that weren't in this collection & those have been good. This collection is really not very entertaining. This is one of the very few that I wish I hadn't wasted a credit on!

This book is a must for anyone that claims to love America!

The author does a great job at showing the direct lessons that we can take to learn from past mistakes. He also goes through what to look out for in regards to internet news versus traditional print news. If we don't want to fall into a 1930's nationalist country this book helps.
Main Points:
1/ Historical points you may not be aware of.
2/ What you can do to help.
3/ We are living in a time that could set the future of our country and democracy.
This is as close as it gets to a "How To" manual to deal with these disturbing times.

The Whistler was a radio mystery anthology that debuted on CBS Radio on May 16, 1942. The show was heard only on the West Coast and had Signal Oil as the main sponsor. There were attempts to broadcast the show on the East Coast, one in July to September 1946 and the other in March 1947 to September 1948, with Campbell Soup and Household Finance as the suggested sponsors. The show centered on a character called The Whistler, the mysterious narrator of various murder stories.

I have loved "Star Trek" since it first premiered!

I watched this with my father when this first premiered in the 60's and I became a diehard fan in the 70's when watching the reruns. I have seen every film when it premiered in the theater and used to see them multiple times in the theater. I thought I was going to love this book but it was unbelievably boring, I could not listen to anymore.
