I loved the narrator! Her accent is wonderful and her tone is great. The story had enough twists and turns to keep me interested and the characters made me want to read more. Already downloaded the next in the series!

My favorite of this series!

This one was my absolute favorite of the series! Roland is such an amazing and complex character. I love that the author highlights his connection to his mother's Native American roots. It's nice to have a main character that's not the typical white, male. I also enjoy having both a male and female narrator telling the story. I wish more publishers would consider this as an option.

Could have been better

I have listened to several novels by Scarlett Scott, and this one left me disappointed. I did not care for the suicide of a sub-character. It felt like an unnecessary turn in the main plot that didn't need to be there. The main couple already had enough to work through without adding that. As someone who has experienced that kind of loss firsthand, it didn't sit well with me.

I absolutely loved this story! Searc is an excellent character, and I love that this author always has strong females! The added mysterious plot of the missing girls makes the story more intriguing. Loved the narration! I could listen to Timothy Campbell any time. His accent and storytelling are wonderful.

Strong Female Warrior Lead!

This was great! I love that the female lead was a strong warrior, but still struggled with her own insecurities like so many of us do! Another awesome story in this series!

Another great story from Heather McCollum!

I absolutely loved this story from Heather McCollum! I have listened to many of her books and find each one to be excellent. I appreciate strong female leads, and she constantly delivers. The love scenes are just tantalizing enough to not be over the top. I love that her leads are well thought out and have detailed backstories. Tim Campbell is also a wonderful narrator! If you like historical romances, give this a listen!

Good story, but narration could have been better

I really liked the story and how the author handled the topic of healing after a sexual assault. The patience Alex displayed as Maddie worked through her feelings was great! I felt the ending was a bit rushed, and the narration could have been better, but it was a good listen.

Great Time Travel Book!

I loved that the story was only told from Ehd's perspective. It made the story more interesting as I was trying to figure out what he was seeing/hearing/describing with his limited words and knowledge. I appreciated the last part of the book being set right before Elizabeth is transported and being told from her perspective. Really loved this book!

Good Story with Strong Characters

This book was even better than the first in the series! I loved the references to the Art of War and the historical notes at the end. It made it seem as though these characters were real. I appreciate the author's writing of strong and smart female characters. I have read a few of her other Highland-based romance/drama books, and there is strength and bravery in both her male and female characters. The narrator is also wonderful and easy to understand. His voice, accent, and inflection make the story enjoyable.

I've never listened to an item with a full cast, and this was great! I love Pride and Prejudice, so a continuation of Lydia's story was very welcome. I would highly recommend this!
