A cold hearted book for the wrong reasons.

While Billie does a good job as the narrator, the book as a whole falls flat. It tries so hard to make you hate sir Richard that it drags the story out to the point that it becomes tedious. But the worst had to be the morals. Lady Tremaine is a victim who is abused for years and is then punished for it. The story just left a bad taste in my mouth and made me regret spending money on it. I like the Villians series as a whole but I reccomend skipping this one.

So this kid becomes a superhero... and loses every single battle. Kind of funny I guess but I don't personally find this kid constantly struggling and losing entertaining.

Scary for the wrong reasons.

It's always fun to hear a Slappy adventure but this one sadly falls flat. While the story is ok it's certainly not the best living dummy book. Alissa is a good narrator but what they did to her voice with Slappy is so grating that it was hard to finish. But the worst part has to be the parents in this book. Most parents are pretty clueless and not the best in goosbunps but Brittanie's are borderline emotionaly abusive. Her cousin Ethan does and says awful things and Britany is the one who gets in trouble for no reason. She isn't blamed for what he did. She just gets punished and nothing happens to him. I recommend a skip
