Historia
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Even better than the 1st!
Revisado: 05-27-24
Sequels are almost never as good as the first in the series but this one was and might even be better! There was more emotion and growth, challenges and backstories, and even more humor!
Would definitely recommend!

Overall decent
Revisado: 05-05-23
Many have said the narration is a problem for them but I didn’t find this to be true for me. I would suggest 1.4-1.45 for playback speed, if you’re having issues.
Overall, I did enjoy listening to this book. I kept seeing it pop up on various social media platforms and figured I would give it a try.
The vampire theme has been done before obviously and so has the competing to the death to prove to yourself and your kingdom you are worth it- but this was a new take at both themes and different enough to be interesting.
I’m hoping for some further character development in the second installment, and am curious to see how the main characters come into their new positions. I’ll be reading the next one once it’s added.
Overall was not disappointed.

Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Best of the Series
Revisado: 01-09-23
The amount of personal growth that the eldest Archeron sister, Nesta, goes through in the book is incredible. With the help of her family and friends, as well as her own tremendous wealth of perseverance, will, soul searching, and her dedication to her mental and physical training, Nesta is able to fight through her deep seeded trauma, and struggles.
She finds that though she may always have to work through her fears and triggers, she wants to live and to love and be loved; to feel worthy of her friends, her family, and her own life. That she not only wants to live but to thrive.
Be ready for some steamy and more descriptive scenes than any of the other books…and to swoon over Cassian!
Though the book is about Nesta and her journey, the author does a wonderful job of telling the tales of Nesta’s two best friends and their hardships and triumphs beautifully as well. And continues on the story of Rhys, Feyre, the rest of the Night Court and their allies.

Decent Second
Revisado: 05-05-22
This book seemed loooong on occasion with almost too much time and detail spent on certain parts and not enough in others. But overall it was a decent second installment and I think provided much needed insight and world building that will be important building blocks for the third book.
The narration was spot on for this one as well as the first.
Because I’m now invested in these characters and the struggles they’re facing I will definitely be reading on, and am interested in seeing the growth of the main character as her world views continue to expand and she comes into the power that has been eluded to in the first and second books.

Glad I listened!
Revisado: 05-02-22
This book was dark and haunting and not usual something I’d choose, but because it was free I decided to give it a listen and I’m glad I did!
The narration was really spot on, and I enjoyed the twists and turns. It was surprisingly and refreshingly unpredictable with the ending being the biggest twist.
I can now say that I may have to check out more stories in this genre/tales with a good amount of dark and haunting, mystery, murder, and mystic.
Would recommend!

Historia
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.

Narration was spot on- very engaging!
Revisado: 04-29-22
It was definitely an odd experience to be so thoroughly immersed in an apocalyptic/vampire story through my two earbuds while the sun was shining here and I was going about my day as usual. There was such a contrast to what I was listening to and my surroundings- but the narration with the full cast of characters and the sound effects, was thoroughly engrossing and I didn’t want to stop listening (luckily my work holds a one earbud in/out policy!)
The story itself, though about vampire and taken place after a sort of doomsday event, is fairly original in its writing/does not read like every other of either type.
I’ll be reading/listening to the next one to find out what happens to the sisters and their friends as their journey continues. Definitely a good starting point, enough description was given but not fully hashed about the vampire way of life to keep you interested in continuing on.

The narration really made this!
Revisado: 04-29-22
This was an interesting read and the narration was very good. The mystery and discoveries were compelling, and though the main characters are young the story isn’t too juvenile.
Not my typical title to pick up, but I’m glad I did.

Interesting Story 👍
Revisado: 10-21-21
I downloaded this book on a whim before I began an hour long car ride, and I’m glad I did!
The world that the author creates is original and interesting, as well as the characters that make up the story.
The main character Aurora/Roar was wonderful- intelligent and compassionate, sensitive though sheltered in the beginning of the tale, but also strong, independent, and willful.
I really liked how the author showed the growth of her characters too- not only with Roar but with Locke as well.
I’ll definitely be reading the next installment!

Revisado: 03-12-21
This book was included in membership and that’s mostly why I picked it up, but I’m glad I did!
The narration is perfect! Easy to follow, different voices used, just right!
The world created is original and introduces us to a good amount of the setting without being overwhelming. I look forward to the next book and what that will bring!
The main character is likable and uses his instincts as well his mind to overcoming challenges. Paired with a good amount of heart and willpower. He is nothing if not a proponent of working towards bettering himself.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. It’s an easy listen, while still being intriguing and not extremely predictable. Unsouled is not usually within the genre that I go for but as I said was an ‘included with membership’ title, and I was definitely surprised that I like it as much as I did. Thank you Audible!

Not as strong as the rest
Revisado: 01-25-21
I wanted to love this book as much as the rest in the series but it just didn’t have same intensity, desire.
I liked the supporting characters enough and I love the Maddox boys but the female character in this was just not as all in as I’m used to from this author.
Worth the read because these books, though each are their own separate love stories, are connected and it is important in the timeline of events.
The narrator was ok for this but not awe inspiring by any means. I would have loved to have both a male and female narrator.
Overall, it was just ok in comparison to the others in the series.
