Historia
In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare creates a tragic world in which two young people fall in love. It is not simply that their families disapprove; the Montagues and the Capulets are engaged in a blood feud. This play, set in an extraordinary world, has become the quintessential story of young love. This new full-cast recording - based on the most respected edition of Shakespeare's classic - expertly produced by the Folger Theatre, is perfect for students, teachers, and the everyday listener.

Acting and sound effects and in listener enjoyment of an already well-written play. Five stars!

Historia
No one would accuse 11-year-old Caddie Woodlawn of being dainty and ladylike. In spite of her mother’s best efforts, Caddie is as wild as the wind, playing freely and rambunctiously with her two brothers in the Wisconsin backwoods. There are rafts to build and trees to climb and pranks to play. Caddie especially likes to watch her friend Indian John build birchbark canoes at the river. Every day seems wide with possibility - as wide as the frontier. But living on the edge of civilization has its risks, too....

Raspy narrator
Revisado: 09-24-21
My 14 yr old read and listened to Caddie Woodlawn for homeschool. While he was not thrilled with the story or narrator,he said he could see why other people enjoy it. His favorite character is Tom, because of the adventures Tom has.
He did not like narrator's voice as it is too raspy.

Historia
Jo March, the irrepressible tomboy in Little Women, has grown up and married her professor to become Jo Bhaer. Together the Bhaers have established Plumfield - a warm-hearted, informal school where lessons are taught with a dose of laughter. When Nat, a young orphan joins the happy household at Plumfield, he can’t believe his good fortune. Each day is filled with studying and fun - the boys even enjoy Saturday-night pillow fights. But when Nat gets caught stretching the truth, he discovers there is more to learn in his new home than games and schoolwork.

Top Notch Narration
Revisado: 09-02-21
If you've never read this classic book, definitely worth reading. A celebration of boys and how to raise little men. Morality, compassion, respect for self and others, self- reliance, work and joy are among the many life lessons painted throughout the story.
Additionally the narrator's performance is stellar; helping the listener along by creating different voices for each character, cadence and enunciation are great. Worth a listen!
I used this performance in conjunction with visual reading for my 13 year old son as part of his required reading for a class. We also enjoyed listening as we played games.
