loved the story. 50 will always be that to me because that is how I came to know him. I actually think I may reach out with some of my ideas. but you will enjoy this if you need motivation. his delivery is sincere and real; being from NYC AND the same era, I relate.

If you are familiar with Robert Greene's 'The 48 Laws Of Power" you will enjoy this book as well. it is a kind of sequel to that book with a slant toward Hip-Hop culture-minded listeners. 🌎 I was pleasantly surprised at the depths of the storytelling, and already loved Robert Greene's delivery of his 48 book so this was a welcome addition. I also enjoyed the fact that 50 Cent does speak but in a cryptic way, he is letting Mr Greene do most of the reading, keeping in mind the first law of power: never outshine the master. 🌎 Take this book as the study guide it was meant to be, taking notes and learning from multiple listens as I have. It is a book that will never get old, although I have heard the 9 bullet story way too many times but I get it-as this book says, you learn to embrace death so it is no longer something you fear, but make it a parallel ro your enthusiasm for life. 🌎 The delivery is even, smooth and easy to digest. The presentation is perfect and nothing in the origin story fans of 50 Cent is left out. In fact there are things said here that weren't in his movie "Get Rich Or Die Trying" ( as well as the album of the same name). 50 Cent has parlayed his Hip-Hop success into movies, tv productions and the advancement of other artist careers. This book becomes even more potent because while you don't need to be a fan of the artist you will have a respect for the moves the man behind the (at times) menacing image has made; this book is an apex, a journal of sorts. 🌎 Guard the information in this book with your life because even those you love can turn the tables on you and you will find yourself a victim of these anicdotes!! Enjoy!! 🌎✌

A good not great "read" but great listening

In my ongoing search for books that I can not just read for entertainment but learn from comes this book now in my collection. I knew of the author from his many appearances in "American Pimp," "Pimps Up, Hoes Down" and several music videos and player balls. I am a DJ about the business of music ((at DJFreedomLives on IG and SoundCloud so you KNOW I am for real) and know of this brother and others like him who went from being in the streets to "legit businessmen." Good listen, great advice. If you read/listened to Robert Greene's "48 Laws" you have heard many of these stories. one star off for damn near taking whole segments from that book. But no denying the presentation of Ken's stories. He IS a real human chess player (great new phrase to describe a kind of person, BTW) and you too can be one if you read this and all the books he mentions in his final note at the end. Add to that Dapper Dan's story, Oprah's story, Malcolm X, The Obamas, Nelson Mandela and Anything by Napoleon Hill. Get this and master the game!!

This is air for anyone who wants to get into this business. I am happy such a book exists because otherwise how does one find out how to do this? I have since found an easier way than this book describes but for beginners, it is a great start.

Many years ago I read this book. At that time "my mind wasn't ready." Today I LISTENED and it went in much easier. 📖 Very well presented in audio form, this is now part of my ongoing study beyond just financial thinking. 📖 This book is great for beginners and for anyone already doing well in their lives. It is the original motivational speaker. I enjoyed listening to things I needed to be told about changing the way I think to simply do better in my life. It really IS that simple. Everything else is just an enhancement to your life recipe. 📖 Utilize the lessons here for business, for school, any job (so you can either "boss up" or GET OUT of it) and take control of yourself; get a hold of yourself. 📖 I recommend this to anyone in need of the words to get their mind right. This book will help enhance your thought process. It is great for my morning meditation, afternoon walks and evening study. 📖 Give it as a gift and know that like seeing the movie "The Matrix," you will be awakened to a better way to see the world. 📖 As an added benefit I highly recommend you get "THE LAWS OF SUCCESS" RED COVER ORIGINAL VERSION. I have the blue cover hard copy from Amazon but I also have an Audible version I got a few weeks ago. They go well with "Think And Grow Rich." 📖 This is the grand opening and that book is the apex. Enjoy! 11 📖 🖤🙏

Of the 3 hosts on "The Breakfast Club" this author is clearly the most engaging. He asks the right questions, the hard ones, humorous and overall has a colorful personality.

This book is all of the above. Add to that his personal stories and you have a great listen.

It is heavy on mental therapy but is also Hip-Hop friendly if you speak that language. Don't worry if you don't as he explains himself all throughout.

Listen with a friend then watch their reaction! It normally.
