Such a fun listen! Yes, some sections are silly. But the story is entertaining and the acting great.

Historia
Sally Milz is a sketch writer for The Night Owls, a late-night live comedy show that airs every Saturday. With a couple of heartbreaks under her belt, she’s long abandoned the search for love, settling instead for the occasional hook-up, career success, and a close relationship with her stepfather to round out a satisfying life. But when Sally’s friend and fellow writer Danny Horst begins dating Annabel, a glamorous actress who guest-hosted the show, he joins the not-so-exclusive group of talented but average-looking and even dorky men at the show.

I Don't Get The Hype
Revisado: 06-22-23
Overall, I found the story to be boring and repetitive, the main character to be a weak and insecure woman - aren't we trying to get away from this narrative now? And way too much focus on COVID - who wants to experience the negative side of COVID again, especially in a rom-com? I was hopeful there would at least be some steamy adult writing to make up for the book's shortcomings, but that was also a disappointment. I don't get the hype; this book is not for me.

For all of the glowing reviews (here and elsewhere), I expected more. Don't get me wrong, this was a good book, with some beautiful imagery of some very tragic topics, but i was just left wanting more.
