Historia
The House of the Dead is a fascinating portrait of life in a Siberian prison camp - a life of great hardship and deprivation, yet filled with simple moments of humanity showing mankinds ability to adapt and survive in the most extreme of circumstances. Dostoevsky tells his story in a chronological order, from his character's arrival and his sense of alienation to his gradual adjustment to prison life.

The narration is wonderful, great connotation and sound. The translation is excellent (Constantine Garnet!? Doesn’t say!).

Meditation
Revisado: 05-07-21
I have found this book to be useful for meditating. I have been meditating by first playing one chapter of this book, 12-17 minutes, then meditating silently for ~15 more minutes.

It’s no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 16 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces listeners to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind.

Incredible
Revisado: 05-02-21
This is a must read for everyone. The content is nothing new as mentioned by the author, los of other wise and enlightened people from different places have be saying the same thing for a long time. I do love the phrasing and prospective of Elkhart Tolle. And the fact he so direct and straightforward to understand.

Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

Too long for the story
Revisado: 11-15-20
In my opinion the book is too long for the content and scale of the story. I think this book could have easily been only third of its current length. I actually started skipping a few times, one hour at a time. And I didn't get any feeling that I am missing any part of the story. I should note that I have actually listen to quite a few long audiobooks including one over 35 house.
The narration is apt and interesting though!

Historia
Here are three key works by Sigmund Freud which, published in the first decades of the 20th century, underpinned his developing views and had such a dramatic effect on world society. In the uncompromising Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality (1905), he declared that 'sexual aberrations' are not limited to the insane but exist in 'normal' people to a greater or lesser degree. The three essays are divided between sexual perversions, childhood sexuality and puberty.
