Ever dreamt of waking up inside a novel? For Kim Roksu, this dream becomes reality when he finds himself in the shoes of Cale Henituse, the lazy, wine-loving son of a count--and punching bag for the novel's destined hero. Determined to dodge his grim fate, this new Cale Henituse vows to rewrite his story, aiming for a life of leisure far from heroic deeds and inevitable beatdowns.

Awkward dialogue
Revisado: 03-20-25
I love isekai and anime about characters being reincarnated as video game characters or villains etc, so I was excited about this title. Unfortunately, the writing isn’t very smooth and the dialogue is often stilted and amateurish, and while I prefer to focus on the plot, the bad dialogue kept bringing me out of the story (which was progressing very slowly).

Historia
A world that had forgotten what violence was didn't know how to defend itself. City after city fell. Earth became a lifeless wasteland as the undead army swelled and crushed the humans like ants underneath its boot. It all ended at the last stronghold. Forgoing all hope for salvation, a handful of desperate humans realized that the only thing left was revenge.

Oh my God this was boring
Revisado: 01-21-25
I really tried to like Roman’s other books but they all suffer from the same problem: they often just meander for no reason. Dude, just get to the point! The basic plot seems fine initially (we’re all here because we like isekai, litrpg, etc, so it’s not a hard concept for us to like) but takes forever to get anywhere, and it’s honestly not very entertaining. Oleg Sapphire, Vasily, and the other Russian litrpg guys are much more effective. Unlike them, Roman doesn’t have a good flow to his stories.

Historia
In this world, I'm the heir to the princely Morozov line, but I don't have any talent for the magical arts. When my enemies find out I'm alive, they'll definitely come looking for me. I think someday I'll have a warm welcome prepared for them, but in the meantime I have to continue my training, kill demons, and juggle my schoolwork on top of that. Wait up, Imperial Academy! Here I come!

Mostly filler
Revisado: 01-16-25
Most of this book was a training montage, getting by in school, and more emphasis on his older brother George. Doesn’t get really good until the last 2-3 hours. The narrator is awesome as usual, but the story felt very lacking. I would skip this title and jump ahead to the next one.

Historia
The System is here! Most of the population of the planet were suddenly turned into zombies, while the rest acquired new abilities. Abilities that let them run from the zombies, save themselves, hide, and try to survive. But it only takes one bite that almost always means death. Our hero was standing in line when the apocalypse came. He was lucky at first to be caught in a crowd when the zombies tried to bite him on the leg. Really lucky, because those trials unlocked new abilities for him.

Similar to an Ideal World for a Sociopath
Revisado: 12-15-24
If you liked Oleg Saphires LITRPG book an Ideal world for a sociopath then you’ll like this too. It has similar content, an antisocial MC with an invisible skill, although this title isn’t heavy on bows and arrows. I had to slow it down to 0.8 because the narrator speaks a bit too fast but other than that it’s a great addition to the usual Russian LITRPG books.

Bring on the action
Revisado: 11-25-24
Holy cow (no pun intended) the last 3-4 hrs were full of almost nonstop action. I was at first hesitant to dive back into another slice of life farming novel, but this has more action than the last book and a lot less farming (which I’m sure will be disappointing to some). But not me! I love it!

Usual Russian Isekai Fare
Revisado: 10-03-24
If you liked this authors other books, then this will be up your alley. Good progression and an easy system (thank God) that you can follow. I’ve had to return so many books with overly complicated system, like how am I going to follow 20 different stats??? Anyway, this book is straightforward and simple. The MC doesn’t start out OP but he gets there.

Historia
Last I remember I was saving my high school crush from the path of an oncoming truck. Now I'm a skin-and-bones weakling wearing nothing but my hospital gown. Oh yeah, the world is also full of monsters, and I'm the only human left. It turns out a godlike System evacuated humanity but decided to leave the vegetable in the bed. I could crawl into a corner and wait to get eaten by a kobold, but after years of being asleep, I have a new appreciation for feeling alive. I'll have to find the tenacity to survive, the courage to fight, and the strength to face some dark truths about myself.

Slow and boring
Revisado: 10-03-24
The system is too complicated and it takes forever to explain everything and get the MC to move along. The story is decent, but for Gods Sakes just get to the point and action. Accidental Healer by Brooks did it better (isekai and left behind/out of the tutorial).

Another great Russian isekai story
Revisado: 10-03-24
If you’re familiar and a fan of the usual Russian isekai OP MC, then this should be right up your alley. He’s isekai’d into a teenager and his hormones are all over the place, spends a lot of time ogling ALL the females in his new world, and that gets old and annoying pretty fast, but other than that it’s the usual Russian fare.

Historia
The familiar world collapsed overnight. As the Transformation progressed, disasters occurred throughout the Earth. Materials changed their properties, new species of flora and fauna appeared. The Game converted our world into a huge dungeon, completely replacing the previous civilization. However, the alien plans for Earth began to go awry from the very beginning. The conversion was less successful than expected. An ordinary young man stole the bonus for the first gaming action, depriving the invaders of their perk.

The humor makes it worse
Revisado: 10-03-24
Don’t get me wrong, I love dungeon crawler Carl and its narrators, but I feel that the comedy and humor here takes away from the actual story. If it was more serious like Primal Hunter or Defiance of the Fall then maybe it would’ve worked.

Writing could be smoother
Revisado: 10-03-24
This was like a poorly written version of Portal to Nova Roma, Matthews writing is more smooth and has an exciting storyline. This book has action but for some reason his progress isn’t very exciting, it sort of just happens. The narrator is fine but he stops and starts at times, but that could be due to the book itself. I just wish the writing was better, otherwise the story is fine.
