I wish this was canon.

This book provides such depth to the character of Thanos that it changed the way I watched End Game. The performance was fantastic, and you never lose touch with your protagonist, even though you know the terrible things he will end up doing and don't buy into his justification.

Play your music, your way
Revisado: 06-26-19
I listened to Justin's autobiography on a long trip down to Outer Banks during fourth of July weekend and I couldn't shut it off. He speaks with such a clear, enthusiastic vigor that your heart breaks for him when things just don't go his way. He doesn't come off as bitter or resentful, just someone who chased his dream and made it all the way to the top.

Chilling, couldn't put it down.
Revisado: 06-26-19
For what is ultimately a condemnation of professional wrestling and the people involved, Chris and Nancy takes a long, well-researched unblinking at not only the circumstances revolving the infamous Benoit murders but the devastating side effects of the sport, and the negligent people that enable them.

Almost Great
Revisado: 06-26-19
Dooku is one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars Universe, and I was thrilled to see that he was finally getting his own origins book, but there was one thing that I just couldn't get past. It's something that really broke the immersion for me and kinda bummed me out. It's not something that Cavan Scott invented, and it's a problem that's fairly common for fantasy and sci-fi novels.
The author gets a little too carried away in world building without providing context. Early in the book, there's a scene set in a marketplace and far, far, far too often there are references to aliens and items that are obviously made up that didn't previously exist in the Star Wars Universe to my knowledge. It totally breaks my immersion when I'm trying to imagine what's happening and I have no context for the item that's being used or the people involved.
However the cast is very enthusiastic and enjoyable. They try very hard to carry the script, and it ends up being something I don't regret buying, but that I could've lived without.
