Within mere weeks of thwarting a cataclysmic electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack against the United States, Michael Garin, former leader of the elite Omega special operations unit, discovers that Russia has triggered an ingenious and catastrophic backup plan. Garin's efforts to warn the administration of the new attack, however, fall on deaf ears. No one believes the Russians would initiate another strike of such magnitude so soon.

I’ve enjoyed both of the Omega books by Kirsanow, Michael Garin reminds me of Mitch Rapp, in a good way. Would recommend these two books to anyone who enjoys Vince Flynn.

Politics ruined a good book!
Revisado: 01-20-21
Entertaining and well thought out, except for all the political opinions and comment thrown in, it really detracted from the story. Very disappointed in Connelly and his exaggerations and outright lies, I won’t be reading anymore of his books as a result.

Historia
When Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, he reveals that he was on his way to meet a man who claims to have the ability to bring down America’s power grid. Rapp is determined to eliminate this shadowy figure, but the CIA’s trap fails. The Agency is still trying to determine what went wrong when ISIS operatives help this cyber terrorist do what he said he could — plunge the country into darkness. With no concept of how this unprecedented act was accomplished, the task of getting the power back on could take months. Perhaps even years.

Fantastic book!
Revisado: 02-07-20
Just when you thought you’d heard every story from WWII this book comes along and tells an incredible story about family, love, loss and the horrors of war. The fact that’s it’s based on a true story and really, “based” on is a strong word because there didn’t seem to be any stretching of the truth, just the filling in of some missing details. As a student of WWII I was blown away by this book, I highly recommend it!

Enjoyable Novelette
Revisado: 04-12-19
This the second work by Simon Toyne with the Solomon Creed character and it was enjoyable. I read for pleasure and really enjoy a good story, as a result, I am not as critical as other readers when it comes to reviews. I have already read “The Searcher” and now I look forward to reading the next in the series, “The Boy who Saw.” It is hard to compare these books to another author or series but I enjoy mysteries, thrillers, spy themed books as well as historical fiction and this series has a little of everything! I have recommended this book to people I know who have varied interests and the majority have enjoyed the Character of Solomon Creed as much as I have.

Another fantastic installment in the Jane Hawk saga! The story is not too fanciful given the medical advances we’ve seen in recent years, and that makes the story that much more enjoyable...and scary!!
