I finished this book days ago and I still can’t properly put into words how perfect it was for Knox and Ana. You get the classic Rina Kent obsessive, possessive alpha but with a twist. Ana and her tenacity. The fiery banter that is just everything.

Vanessa Edwin is PERFECTION as Ana! A better narrator could not have been picked! Her talent continues to blow me away and truly shines in this audiobook. John Hartley nailed Knox’s growl and demeanor.

Worlds collided in this book in the most perfect way. An absolute must listen that is by far my favorite release so far in 2022.

I abso-freaking-lutely LOVE when a hyped book lives up to expectations! It’s one of the best things about Bookstagram. Punk 57 completely lived up to it’s fame for me. Misha and Ryen pulled my heart strings.

Both of their characters go through quite a bit throughout this story. Misha is definitely on the heavier side (holy twist at the end) but he carries it lighter. He may be broody but he hasn’t lost all hope for life, good and bad, right and wrong. He maaaay be a complete jerk at times but I mean come on, we love a flawed hero.

Ryen, oh Ryen. She has more of a silent battle. Her character growth is deeply apparent by the end. She may not be the most likeable heroine but she’s real. She’s silently screaming at the top of her lungs day in and day out but only Misha hears it. We all knew a Ryen in high school, what sets her apart are her silent pleas and changed behavior.

The tension in this book is thiiiiick from the start. These two will make ya sweat. Their push and pull, back and forth games are delicious. Then there are these super sweet moments mixed in making for a perfectly sensual balance. I enjoyed everything about this book and could read a whole new one on them in a heart beat.

Also, this narration was stellar. I may or may not have instantly looked up more titles by Matthew Holland.

This was a fabulous intro to Grant and Declan’s world! A solid mixture of heat, heart and banter that will have you hooked from the start. There is definitely deeper turmoil at play with these two, making the level of angst the perfect amount to tease you into needing to know more.

Grant’s ability to be bold to confine in Declan and ask for everything he wants is straight up HOT. Declan’s immediate response of “Hell yeah! I’ll show you everything.” was equally as hot! There are some serious flames coming off of them through out the entire book, it’s correspondingly sensual, playful and seductive. You will be salivating for that next scene! But with every act they check off of Grant’s list you see them baring a piece of their souls to one another which leads to of course, being in way over their heads.

Per usual Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan nailed this narration, solidifying them even farther as one of my favorite duo’s to listen to. Teddy fits Grant’s sweet but strong personality to a tee while Jacob slides into Declan’s character easily with that signature swagger of his. LB is the queen of character casting and no one will ever change my mind on that.

That ENDING THOUGH. I wasn’t expecting it. If it wasn’t for the fact that this series is set up along 5 years with these ball players I woulda been salty. In all fairness though, Grant and Declan’s love is unfolding exactly how it should. I’m here for all the seasons and all the trials. It’s clear this is going to be a steadfast romance between two characters that calm hard and love deeply with compassion as the forefront.

Consumed by Deception is everything I love in a mafia marriage. Give me a couple who will fight tooth and nail for their marriage and I’ll turn into the biggest pile of sappy, mush. I swear. Add in Desiree and Jason’s EPIC performance and this is easily one of my all time favorite series on audio. I need more of these two together, they are sheer aural perfection.

It’s clear how deeply Adrian loves Lia even though he was too much of an idiot to tell her and she was too narrow sighted to see him for who he truly was. Both of these characters are damaged, neither one of them knew the other nearly as well as they thought and let me tell you... it was freaking infuriating at times. Then you remember all they’ve been through and you soften. Not enough to where you don’t want to reach through the pages and bonk their heads but enough to where you hopelessly wish for them ignite into the roaring fire they can be.

Lia’s character had a ton of things she needed to make up for with me. I didn’t trust her. At times I even wanted to shield Adrian from her, thinking she didn’t deserve such a fierce love, while simultaneously wanting them to work for him. But she won me over, she really did. I was all in
because I loved Adrian so much. But eventually I saw in her what he did. Passion, loyalty, a stubborn strength that doesn’t cease. I fell in love with Lia in this book too.

Needless to say that this was the exact conclusion that was needed to tie it all the mayhem together. At 50% I remember thinking this is too perfect, Rina is about to rip my heart out. And she did. Ugh. But she puts it back together so beautifully you don’t care. The mix of desire, danger and love is heady, making this trilogy unrivaled to Rina’s previous work.

This is absolutely a trilogy in which you want to go in blind and that continues into this second book. It’s so hard to talk about without revealing a single thing, that being said I’ll keep this one short.

From the very start of this next installment my heart was just torn to pieces for Adrian and it continued the whole way through. His character just shatters you with how misunderstood he is. He’s barbaric and you can’t outwit him, he’s hard as stone, yet you can’t help but feel for him. Rina truly knows how to make a broken to the bone antihero. Lia is equally as broken in different ways. She’s hard for me to warm up to and has a lot to prove but I understand her.

Jason Clark and Desiree Ketchum absolutely slay this narration. These two are a powerhouse when it comes to really playing on the emotions of characters as well as you, the listener. When either one of them perform a scene they command your attention and keep you authentically invested in that POV. Absolutely fantastic casting for this trilogy.

You’ll get answers in this book but they’ll just lead to more questions. You’ll get swoon worthy moments but they’ll just twist into more heartbreak. Staggering revelations will blow any of your theories outta the water and that is exactly what I needed with Adrian and Lia. They’re complex, demanding and intriguing, just like this story is unfolding to be.

Suspenseful and Addictive

This was quite a whirlwind and it’s only begun! Rina is kicking this trilogy off with a real bang that has so many theories running through my head. I honestly don’t even want to try to figure it out. There are a few elements in Vow of Deception that we’ve seen previously but they do add to the suspense of this plot line so I didn’t mind the reoccurrence. The creep vibes are high and the heat is scorching.

I am blown away by the talents of Jason Clarke and Desiree Ketchum in this title. They both exquisitely portrayed the level of emotions needed and equally lit this audio on FIRE! These two are a duo that I absolutely need more of. Jason’s growl and passion, Desiree’s depth and male voice? Complete perfection.

Adrian is a narcissistic, sociopath. I’m not even gonna lie, the man is not sane. But that’s one of my favorite kinds of antiheroes. He’s unpredictable, hostile, closed off. It’s clear that he has blinders on when it comes to his wife and the obsession he has for her, I can feel him shifting through out this book though. He’s drawn toward this new version of her and Adrian isn’t even realizing it.

It’s hard to talk about this heroine without giving away plot details. Details that I think the reader should come upon organically to formulate their own feelings. She’ll leave you confused, as confused as she is. I honestly don’t know how I feel about her or where those feelings are going to go. I enjoyed her fight, her innate need to keep herself focused.

I do know that if you want to read a book that sucks you in from the first page and consumes your attention while reading than this is for you. If you want an antihero that is utterly unmoving, disconnected yet so in love it ruins him than Adrian is for you. If you want a story that you can’t figure out and makes you want to instantly reread for the slightest clues than Vow of Deception is for you.

I am still chuckling hours after finishing this book. Mabel and Wallace’s story is a complete breath of fresh air. The amount of quirkiness and sheer acceptance between these two is unrivaled. Not to mention the flex showed off by Erin in her narrating skills! She held my attention for the entire book, not once did I feel like I needed any other voice involved.

Mabel is a complete good girl. Like has never defied her parents and is still stuck in a life she isn’t actually happy with because she doesn’t want to cause conflict type of good. So much so that just hearing the term sets her off. Queue meeting Wallace, he’s not overly alpha but that’s because his character doesn’t need to exude his manliness, he just simply is. And he’s exactly the influence Mabel needs to shed her shiny reputation and to stop caring what anyone may think. The amount he helps her out of her shell, wholeheartedly loving her for who she is, is so swoony. He’s there holding her hand the whole way, giving her strength but not pushing, these two are just perfect in their symbiosis. But our girl gets to the point where she doesn’t even need his silent encouragement.

The way Erin intertwines heavier human trials into romcom is uniquely her own. She never ceases to amaze me in how she can present topics that pull your heartstrings so deeply. There are hints along the way but when those feels drop you’re never ready. Lovebug is so much more than just Mabel finding her true voice and listening to it, it’s about living life for you. Never apologizing for who you are or what you love. Both characters embraced what they wanted in life and in that they found each other. I look forward to every idea Erin comes up with, I know that it will be well rounded and original. Every time you get a complete HEA and the contentment of finishing a fantastic story.

Friends to Lovers PERFECTION!

Gahhh! This book! I am not a big friends to lovers fan. There’s often so much of a slow burn that I get bored or just frustrated and am like just get together already! But this friends to lovers was NONE OF THAT! Kayley Loring gifted us with the funniest, sweetest, sexiest friends to lovers I’ve ever listened to. A Very Friendly Valentine is perfection and a solid new favorite of mine.

I adore the Cannavale family to the nth degree, it is such a fun family to read about. Eddie and Birdie’s story was everything I wanted it to be and more. Eddie being the hot AF actor and Birdie being the nerdy girl who met each other in college they placed each other in the friend zone end never stepped outside of it. But when they do OH LAWD these two ignite in passion! But the thing is they don’t let any of that weirdness in that sleeping with your best friend brings into their hearts. Eddie wouldn’t have it. He knew instantly she was his and he didn’t let Birdie fight it, it was so swoon worthy! In the midst of all this sexiness you have a plethora of laughter, all the warm and fuzzies of two best friends diving head first into love and genuinely a freaking fantastic story.

Connor Crais and McKenzie Cartwright’s narration was nothing short of superb! And the singing! And the accents! And the Piper reappearance! It is just every single thing you could ever want in a feel good romance. And I mean everything. I want to continue to ramble about what made this book so good but just go find out for yourself instead!

Oh my heart! I don’t think I’ve ever listened to such an adorable introduction to love. Lincoln and Molly bring back allll of those first love feels, you will literally be transported to that time in your life. The best part of them though is you know it’s not just first love, but one and only true love. From day one.

You instantly feel connected to these characters. Tim Paige and Avery Reid’s narration absolutely added to that ability to connect. But I feel that no matter what, Lincoln and Molly’s story will capture your heart. The superb casting is the proverbial cherry on top that’s needed to make this book even sweeter than it already is.

Alex Grayson beautifully depicts the journey of soul mates through the milestones of their young lives leading up to adulthood with a heart shattering ending.
