Great Snap shot of Early Life, War, and Post War
Revisado: 07-04-21
Great book, having read 11 previous German war memoirs, this one is somewhat unique in the detail provided both before and after the war. Mr. Lubbeck emigrates to the United States at wars end. From the introduction we learn this book was written much later in life, and it reads that way, like a old man giving wisdom and remembering of times past. Very well writen, to the point, and provides great perspective into the German culture and mentality leading up to WWII, as well as hindsight perspectives post war. There is plenty of combat and war details, but not as heavy as some others memoirs, the additional perspective and historical context this work provides however, more then makes up for this! Strongly recommend!

Historia
Nobody wants to fail. But in highly complex organizations, success can happen only when we confront our mistakes, learn from our own version of a black box, and create a climate where it's safe to fail. We all have to endure failure from time to time, whether it's underperforming at a job interview, flunking an exam, or losing a pickup basketball game. But for people working in safety-critical industries, getting it wrong can have deadly consequences.

Great Book, Atheist Cringe
Revisado: 05-07-20
The principles and fundamental concepts talked about in this book are great and everyone should embrace. The author adds a bunch of atheist nonsense throught that doesn't assist any of the points. Book was published in 2013 at the height of the neo-atheist movement. likely pandering for reviews/money.

Historia
Livy's splendid adventure of Rome's rise to dominance comes to a close in this concluding volume of his magnificent history. Sadly, the work abruptly halts near the completion of book 45, which concerns events in Greece in the year 168 BC. The missing portions, numbering 107 books, have never been found. The original text of this monumental history, which came to 142 books when he completed it, carried the story to 9 BC.

Epic! - The Great Leaders of History All Read Livy
Revisado: 03-24-20
Amazing work! Charlton Griffin is fantastic once again. It's easy to see why Livy's History of Rome was a major inspiration for Niccolo Machiavelli. Don't waste your time reading modern history, it is full of modern revisionism - read the real history from the ancients like Livy. all the great Kings and leaders of history did so - so should you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The only con - Most of the work is "lost" to history, shame!

Historia
Most of the world remembers Crazy Horse as a peerless warrior who brought the U.S. Army to its knees at the Battle of Little Bighorn. But to his fellow Lakota Indians, he was a dutiful son and humble fighting man who, with valor, spirit, respect, and unparalleled leadership, fought for his people's land, livelihood, and honor. In this fascinating biography, Joseph Marshall, himself a Lakota Indian, creates a vibrant portrait of the man, his times, and his legacy.

Braveheart of the Lakota
Revisado: 01-03-18
- Great narrative written in both a biographical style, and more interestingly, after the oral tradition of the Lakota.
- Shows a side of Crazy Horse only knowable from those who knew him personally. A look beyond the legend, a look at the man himself, his struggles, thoughts, triumphs, and failures.
- Objective history telling, but done clearly from the prospective of Crazy Horse and the free Lakota. Free from all political correctness on both sides of the debate, -much appreciated, the raw truth is always better than pandering lies that comfort mentally weak people.
- A great lesson in leadership by example and the dangers of envy. (Reminded me of Mel Gibson's film version of William Wallace in Braveheart)
- The author, Joseph Marshall III is a great writter, and he narrates the audio version! Well done. Highly recommend to all.
