Revisado: 09-23-24
Forget those other reviews. Listen we all know by now Dan is the top writer at Black Library and this is the 3rd novel in a series you could almost consider the starting line for learning about this universe. It is what it is it’s excellent.

Historia
Commissar Ciaphas Cain and the Valhallan 597th are in the thick of it again, putting down an uprising of Chaos cultists on an Imperial mining world. Though their mission is a success, they find evidence that the corruption might have spread to other planets and that the forge world of Ironfound could now be at risk. The munitions Ironfound produces are vital to the Imperial war effort in the subsector; its safety must be assured at all costs. As battle explodes across the planet, Ciaphas Cain and his regiment come up against allies and enemies old and new in their fight for victory.

Not my favorite Cain
Revisado: 07-06-24
This one was just disappointing and not worth my time/money. I love Ciaphas Cain, but this was just not it.

Now hell has come to Hydra Cordatus, for a massive force of terrifying Iron Warriors, the brutal assault masters of Chaos, have invaded the planet and lain siege to its mighty Imperial citadel. 1 of my 1st of 300+
Revisado: 06-21-24
The since of nostalgia was real for me. This was my first real insight into chaos marines. I was enraptured then as I am today. It makes you want to listen to every novel Honsou is in and you won’t be disappointed he’s a brilliant villain. He even makes listen/reading Ultramarines palatable. It’s a shame we only get the 1 audiobook.
