What a great story and performance. This book was 15 hours long and I never want it to end! Thankfully she wrote a sequel. Yes I said she. You’ll have to work that one out yourself. Hint: google author.

Audible had to search far and wide, with all the meditation programs out there to-date, to create the worst guided meditation ever. Soothing? Relaxing? Only if you find fingernails scratching a chalkboard your cup of tea. I couldn't decide which was worse; the voice of the narrator or the horrible un-zen background noise they may try to call music. The narrator won the gold for worst meditation-not voice. Hope she didn't quit her day job. Do yourself a favor and set your timer for your own unguided meditation and then breathe. You'll thank me later.

David Liss is just a great story teller! Period. And the backdrop for this tale is one of the most interesting times in the development of the financial structure of the United States which started with the Whiskey Rebellion. Toss in some fiction, larceny, duels, the IRS, murder and pour over rocks ( or neat if you prefer ) and you have a wonderful read. If you love period fiction based on fact with financial twists and turns you'll love this. I also highly recommend The Coffee Trader as well among others I'm downloading now. Really delightful.

In a world of prolific legal thrillers this attempt does not make the grade. Poor character development and sophomoric plot. Bottom line... Basic and boring.

If you condensed this book into 45 minutes and charged under $5 say, $1 then this book would have been ok. There just isn't much to learn here if you've even read one book on the topic or heard Wayne Dwyer or Oprah talk for 10 minutes.

There are so many wonderful books out there on this topic by Authors such as Stephen Covey, Tony Robbins, James Ray (although I know he is personally controversial his book is great), Wayne Dwyer, Cheryl Richardson and scores of others.

Go to the search bar and type in Mindset and voila... better alternatives abound.

Altough a big fan of this series, I just didn't appreciate this book. In the forward they claim that this is their best book to date and I just personally didn't agree. The topic seemed disjointed in the telling, Jerry the second best reader was pretty flat and the basic premis was that of giving examples in daily life. Which might be the key for someone else, but wasn't for me. There are other examples througout all their work that resonate and this topic is covered quite thoroughly in the Vortex. To me it felt more like an addendum than it did a 'best book' with anything new to contribute.

In my opinion The Law of Attraction, Money and the Law of Attraction and The Vortex are all great books covering all the teachings and if starting out on this journey I'd recommend starting there and using this as more of a filler, which will provide examples of how these principles can be applied in daily life, but only via the examples they have chosen, which may or maynot have great meaning in your life.

Practical Application: Self Diagnosis and Cure

Revisado: 05-28-12

As a big fan of this whole series by Esther and Jerry Hicks I felt (very briefly and possibly oversimplified) that the whole 2 Part series covered all the bases, with reinforcement on key areas, but that Part 2 especially offered a whole lot in the way of self-diagnosis (Emotional Guidance Scale) and finding the cure (22 Proven Processes). It tied a lot of things together and if you're a fan of the workshop it gives you all kinds of fun things to try out... thus breathing fresh air into that process alone.

I'll admit that Esther is the better speaker, but I found Jerry (may he rest in peace) very soothing.

However you should NOTE that I found it more effective to have the book version as well because I felt I needed the Emotional Guidance Scale (that they refer to constantly) in writing and I also appreicated having the written version of the 22 processes. I wrote to Audible and these sections they refer to as inserts were not provided in pdf format. That could have been extremely helpful, but the online version of the book is very reasonably priced.

Enjoy

I like the appeal of the type of hero cast in Myron. Complex, conflicted, but strong of purpose and a web of supporting characters that are also admirable. I like Harlan Coben anyway for a great read, but am especially looking forward to more stories that include Myron.
