A good story marred by inaccuracies and mispronunciations

The story line of “Empire Rising” is compelling and the performance was good enough to hold my attention throughout. I was annoyed however by a number of technical issues (Glock pistols do not have a safety lever or switch, F 35 fighters have one afterburner, not multiple afterburners) and pronunciation problems (throttle detents are pronounced “de tent” not detente, and Kadena is pronounced “Ka De Na”...take it from someone who was stationed there.

This is not a book and certainly not a novel! It is much more like a high level outline that could have potential but was not researched in detail. Also, the writing is not storytelling but rather a number of statements strung together without much of an attempt to weave a tapestry that would have enjoyable to read or listen to.
All in all a real disappointment!

A great storyline that follows in the tradition of this series. Worth listening to several times.
