Historia
Destiny Jones is a princess with a bad attitude. She doesn’t play nice with others, she doesn’t dress up in pretty clothes, and she has absolutely zero interest in behaving like a lady. Especially when she’s so close to catching the people who tried to have her killed. Oh, and kidnapped her mother, queen of the planet Alera. Destiny’s sex-starved body, and its annoying Aleran Ardor, might kill her if her enemies don’t find her first.

Puzzling Spoiler Conclusion
Revisado: 04-09-23
The final chapters of this series, while satisfactory, because it all works out in the end, seems to have made and left many unexplained holes in the story.
Throughout the series there has been a great emphasis on “The One” and the instant recognition upon their first visual introduction. however, magically Nix knows simply by hearing Destiny’s voice on a communication device that she’s “The One”. Really? Was it that hard to lay out their introduction?
And the conclusion with Queen Celine’s marriage to Michael? Honestly how do you overlook the “Mate” declaration, coupled with the very visual physical reaction which has so carefully been emphasized in the the previous books?
For such a smart woman,Queen Celine sure comes off as a clueless dolt. Between Michael’s deception coupled with her not recognizing Adam, her true mate, I find myself moaning “Stupid, Stupid, Stupid” and lamenting the need for a quick end.

Ryot Bisley is my husband. Yes, the former third baseman for the Chicago Rebels and absolute heartthrob of the Windy City. That Ryot Bisley. The first time I ran into him, he was grumpy, a horrific host, and left me on his sofa with nothing but a nylon baseball flag to use as a blanket.

Revisado: 12-16-22
How disappointing! The heroine is especially insecure and needy. It took only a few months for her to decide that her marriage is not worth fighting for when our hero focuses on beginning a new career instead of patiently waiting during the the transition period.
Her insecurities are needlessly feed by her best friend who’s competitive jealousy fuels the situation, as she intrusively makes demands on our hero under the guise of having our heroines best interest at heart.
Couple this with our hero’s cowardly actions which are sympathetically presented as a sincere attempt to salvage their marriage as he ask advise from family and friends but neglects to confront his wife because he knows she will get mad.
Sadly the story concludes with our heroines (after reconciliation with the hero) knee jerk reaction to the news that the best friend has terminal liver cancer, decides that again she must dump the hero and save the friend. Our hero is now replaced by the friend who dictates how all will be choreographed thus resulting in everyone living happily ever after! WTF?
Meghan, Surely you can do better than present us with blind and petty people and ask to be paid for the privilege of making us suffer.

Historia
Racer McKay is a broody bastard. From the moment I met him, he's been rude, irritable, and unbearable. And worse? He's broke. A contractor working to remodel my parents pool house for extra cash, he stomps around in those clunky construction boots with his tool belt wrapped around his narrow waist, and a chip on his shoulder. Racer McKay is also infuriatingly...sexy as hell. I want to take that pencil tucked behind his ear, and draw lazy lines slowly up and down his body all the while wanting to strangle him at the same time.

The nasal/whiney voice representation of a big burly man makes this character hard to tolerate and impossible to suffer through. I wish I had listened to the sample before I bought the book. Woo Is Me, but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t get past Chapter Two.

I found Killian drunk and sprawled out on my lawn like some lost prince. With the face of a god and the arrogance to match, the pest won't leave. Sexy, charming, and just a little bit dirty, he's slowly wearing me down, making me crave more. He could be mine if I dare to claim him. Problem is, the world thinks he's theirs. How do you keep an idol when everyone is intent on taking him away?

If you’re looking for steamy sex in every other chapter then this books for you. The story line is hard to follow when you’re leapfrogging over all the sex because there is so much of it that it’s become boring.

Historia
Once upon a time, there was a girl who dressed up and went to a big party at the palace. When she was there, she met a prince. They danced and fell in love. Damn good line. Too bad I don’t believe a word of it anymore. My name is Claire Montgomery, and I’m not a princess. I’m a fighter. I worked hard to earn my place on the emergency image repair team for one of the biggest public relations companies in the country. We’ve been called to the renowned Chicago headquarters of Stone Global Corporation, where it’s our job to clean up a heap of the Stone family’s filthiest laundry.

5 Minute Story
Revisado: 01-25-21
When diving into a romance novel, you expect that the author will titillate the reader with scintillating erotica designed to make one sigh with wishful thinking of only if’s. However, when each chapter fails to progress the storyline in exchange for more of said erotica the book crosses over from scintillating romance to soft porn. This is an 8 hour audiobook that should be condensed to two which would make it a more enjoyable listen.

So disappointed
Revisado: 06-25-19
I love the Expeditionary series, and when I saw that another book was available for my listening pleasure I instantly bought it. I thought the new full cast format would be fun as long as RC Bray continued to be Skippy and Joe, but sadly the editing of this audio drama was drowned out by the overwhelming background music that was so loud I constantly felt like I was in a cocktail lounge on Tatooine, straining to hear the conversation over all the background noise. And that’s all it is, just noise. It does not add to the story in anyway, just makes you feel like your in a bad movie with no picture.
If this is how this next series is going to be presented, then I will have to leave Skippy and Joe to save the earth without my cheering them on.
So, So, Disappointed

For The Geek In All Of Us
Revisado: 11-19-15
What disappointed you about Between You and Me?
Having to bath in trivial data for eight hours can be terrific if you have a desire to be well oiled with facts that you will seldom use. However, the monotonous information imparted here served only to put me into a stupor so profound I couldn't respond to my own name.
What could Mary Norris have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Have someone else narrate the book. Her knowledge of word spelling an usage may be vast, however her voice is not pleasant and makes it difficult to enjoy any part of the book.
Would you be willing to try another one of Mary Norris’s performances?
Not only no, but Hell NO!

Historia
Sorry. The single word is written on a mirror. In front of it hangs a Minneapolis Internal Affairs cop. Was it suicide? Or a kinky act turned tragic? Either way, it wasn't murder. At least not according to the powers that be. But veteran homicide detective Sam Kovac and his wisecracking, ambitious partner, Nikki Liska, think differently. Together they begin to dig at the too-neat edges of the young cop's death, uncovering one motive - and one suspect - after another.
