Narrators voice not my cup of tea

The narrator is so important to me in choosing a story from Audible. Some just have the gift.
I find female voices a lot harder to listen to than male. They irritate a lot more easily.
I persevered with this story to the end, but there were many times when I wanted to give it up. The protagonist is constantly whining about something and even the male characters are limp and fay. Drove me crackers.
Not for me.

Conflict and more conflict.
A very realistic representation of working relationships, especially medical.
I love the seething undercurrent of suppressed rage - anyone who has worked in a speciality where rank doesn't essentially equate to skill can empathise (through gritted teeth!)
Fabulous. Looking into the rest of the series.
Sean Barrett is king of narrators.

Chose it because of Sean Barrett - interesting characters, quite a good story

I'll listen to anything read by Sean Barrett (even the weather if necessary).
This was a decent story with interesting characters, each slightly flawed in gentle ways (nothing uncomfortable). It was a reasonable plot that could have been just a bit more gripping, but it was a good read and the main characters were very likeable.

Loved this beautiful, funny, heartwarming story

What a breath of fresh air. I normally read dark and sinister thrillers but sometimes I need a complete break and this was a beautiful drenching in happiness.
I love the awkward characters - the misfits. Ove is exactly my cup of tea. How I wish I knew him.
It was painful when the last page was read and I knew that it was the end.
Now trying to find the European film, which I see has earned handsome stars on IMDB.
PS: loved the narrator, I'll be looking for more read by George Newbern

Ive been searching for months for a new book to grab my attention, demand my time and light that spark of imagination that only a few can. I've wasted a lot of money on trying new Authors, constantly putting them aside as they fail to deliver any suspense or surprise - but I've found my successor to Larsen. Cant wait to down load the rest of Nesbo's books.
