Story was well written.....BUT

The narration was terrible. I enjoyed the writing but it would have been better to have read this book myself. The notion is far fetched but so well written.... so I kept going. The Narration was so bad though.

Would you try another book from Carson McCullers and/or Susan Sarandon?
Loved Susan Sarandon but the book was.....a children's book......not at all what I expected.
What was most disappointing about Carson McCullers’s story?
Somewhere I missed the fact that is was a children's book. That should have been made clear.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Narration was just so much better than the story.
