Healthy Financial Fundamentals
Revisado: 01-09-25
I love how she breaks down how to go from in the hole broke and in debt to comfortably and beyond. I wish this book was around 10 years ago. I would’ve cleared off debt and had much more in investments by now.

Historia
Our current definition of “productivity” is broken. It pushes us to treat busyness as a proxy for useful effort, leading to impossibly lengthy task lists and ceaseless meetings. We’re overwhelmed by all we have to do and on the edge of burnout, left to decide between giving into soul-sapping hustle culture or rejecting ambition altogether. But are these really our only choices?

A book on giving yourself professional grace
Revisado: 01-02-25
I love how this book encourages you to give yourself grace. In professional endeavors, sometimes it’s ok to give the product time to develop naturally. There’s an old saying, you can’t rush art. Apparently you shouldn’t be rushing other important projects in your professional life without possibly sacrificing quality, either.

Historia
The world’s greatest bodybuilder. The world’s highest-paid movie star. The leader of the world’s sixth-largest economy. That these are the same person sounds like the setup to a joke, but this is no joke. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this did not happen by accident. Arnold’s stratospheric success happened as part of a process. As the result of clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, resilient problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back. All of it guided by the one lesson Arnold’s father hammered into him above all: be useful.

Humble, Inspiring, and Motivating
Revisado: 02-04-24
I love this book so much. I’ve read a lot of self help books and this is the first that strongly emphasizes on the gift of giving back. It’s such a deep book. It’s not just a book on achieving any goal you set your mind to but also about being a positive force in the world. I love Arnold Schwarzenegger.

G. Eric Kuskey, former colleague of Thomas Kinkade and close friend until the artist's death in 2012, tells Kinkade's story for the first time, from his art's humble beginnings on a sidewalk in Carmel, California, to his five-house compound in Monte Sereno. It's a tale of addiction and grief, of losing control, and ultimately, of the price of our dreams.

Thomas Kinkade
Revisado: 01-21-24
I went on a cruise in January of 2024 and they were offering an information session on Thomas Kinkade. I had no idea who that was but I’ve been trying to teach myself how to paint. I recognized his paintings immediately but had no idea his art branched out so far. When I got home I wanted to learn more about him. The presentation had me questioning if he was really as good and religious as the presenter made it seem or was he just a businessman protecting his image. This book answered so many questions. I really loved it.

This book is for EVERYONE!!
Revisado: 11-13-23
I downloaded this book thinking it was an autobiography. I was disappointed to realize that, instead, it was a self-help book. I’m already a positive go getter so I didn’t think this was for me, but I still believe at least one thing can be learned from almost any book. I love this book. The resilience of a lot of the woman mentioned made me cry. This is one of the most inspiring books I’ve ever listened to. I am now a member of the “Everything is Figureoutable” fan club and am quick to repeat that saying to everyone that needs to hear it. This book truly is for everyone.

Interesting unbiased look at American history
Revisado: 03-02-23
I wanted a quick review of The Civil War and The Battle at Gettysburg before my 13 y.o. son went on his school trip. Very interesting historical read. It made the school trip so much more meaningful when we arrived at the Peach Orchard, Culps Hill, and other historical locations. The tour guild even pointed out bullet holes on the building’s in town. This book made this trip so much more real and not just some grass fields with monuments stuck all over the place. I do see myself listening to this book again.

Addict to snacking
Revisado: 07-11-21
“Don’t scratch that it” will be my motto whenever I want to eat junk food from now on. It really snaps me out of it and makes me analyze what I will get out of that tastykake or whatever which causes me to not want it anymore. I’m so happy this book became available to me. I will be applying it to so many other aspects of my life. I already know.
