Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Wonderful job Harry!
Revisado: 01-20-23
The Duke of Sussex does a wonderful job narrating his own words and it lends so much more depth to the story. I’m happy I went with the audiobook version of Spare.
Being an American Monarchist, I was so sad to hear his story and believe every word. He is raw and vulnerable and lifts the vale of mystery being a royal. He is human like the rest of us.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Great story but…
Revisado: 08-22-22
I’ve read all of Scarlett St Clair’s books. She’s such a creative author. Granted this one is for YA or teens I still gave it a go.
I like that the chapters are split up into the different perspectives but as a listener, having 2 different voice actors read and act out the characters every other chapter actually made it a little more confusing for me to keep the characters straight in the story. Because they say words and names differently and lend the characters a different personality when voicing the the opposite gender. It’s just a bit more. I get what they wanted to do with this production but it didn’t fully land on its feet for me. Maybe the 2 actors should have worked more closely together or lent their own voice when quoting in the others narrated chapter. Just could have been done bit better is all.
Overall it’s an interesting story! Looking forward to more.

Another great story from Scarlett St Clair
Revisado: 07-19-22
Great story. Great female performance.
The bonus chapter is a good start of his POV but I hope they use a different voice actor for the books (if the author is planning full books of the other perspective like she has in other series)
The men they have do these stories just aren’t too great with their range and voice acting. Just my opinion. But still worth a listen.

Historia
Here are the thrills, grandeur, and unabashed fun of the Greek myths, stylishly retold by Stephen Fry. The legendary writer, actor, and comedian breathes life into ancient tales, from Pandora's box to Prometheus's fire, and transforms the adventures of Zeus and the Olympians into emotionally resonant and deeply funny stories, without losing any of their original wonder. Learned notes from the author offer rich cultural context. This volume is a doorway into a captivating world.

I like the different perspective for these stories. I’ve been binging the whole series and will definitely continue!
Narration and performance are OK. A little too monotone like a documentary instead of a passionate story. Not much voice acting going on. I love the female narrator for the other books. This actor doesn’t put much performance at all into this.

Good story, bad performance
Revisado: 06-17-22
The performance really effected the overall story experience. I felt like I was listening to an episode of “how it’s made”… it was so robotic. With how well done the Hunger Games books were read and performed I had high hopes for this prequel book. Lacked a lot of emotion and range.
But to the story. It was good but I was craving much more detail. Although Snow is the “bad guy” his origin story was a good addition to the world of Panem. It’d be awesome to get more stories from the author with different perspectives. I’d love to know how Snow and Tigress had a falling out in the end.

Wonderful detailed story
Revisado: 05-20-22
Spoiler alert!!!! Some noted some disgust and saying that if the roles were reversed it would have been rape. But if you actually listen, he expressed consent to it and even after the fact, even though he was angry he even questioned why he was angry in the first place. He desired his wife and things happened.
I was introduced to this series through Netflix like I’m sure a lot of new readers were. I like how much more detail is in the story and I’m excited to continue with this series.
