Huge fan of this author. This was another great story. Five stars. Tragic, multi faceted storyline that will have you thinking far beyond a typical dark romance.

Perfect ending to a series 💕

We finally get to read Alec’s story!! Although well worth it, at times this story was hard to read because of the trauma the two mc’s went through. The author did a great job of flipping between the past and present seamlessly. No “filler” words or scenes. Overall, just a fantastic journey through heartbreak and sorrow with a HEA.

This author writes the best romance with all the feels. Her books are long and detailed which I love. This story is no different. Nothing is rushed. Great spice paired with an intense story that will break your heart.

Not a romance!

The story kept me guessing and I plan to read the sequel but just know, this is not a romance!! The MMC has no redeeming qualities - at least none that have been uncovered yet so I’m hoping for some kind of explanation to explain his horrible behavior. It’s the story of a selfish, evil, sadist that kidnapped and took advantage of an innocent young woman who is already struggling in life. He treats the FMC like dirt and I’m frustrated with her continued attraction to him when he’s treated her so horribly. He wants her respect and trust but has done nothing to deserve it. The FMC is very young so many of her actions are due to immaturity but still I find her behavior frustrating. I hope the next book takes a better turn.

Stopped about halfway through

This was my first book by this author but it just couldn’t hold my interest. In fairness I typically read more dark romance but this one had such great reviews I wanted to give it a try. Made it about halfway through and the part about the check from the ex came up and I just couldn’t go further. No one in her position would make this decision. Very unrealistic. The topic is heartbreaking and there is a slow burn romance but the FMC had an anger or annoyance with the FMC that just didn’t make sense.

Wow! Great story and excellent narration. This one held my attention all the way through. I didn’t want the story of Remo and Fina to end. Great spice!!

Wonderful story about childhood trauma and healing from the most unexpected person. An arranged marriage where two broken people found love. I couldn’t put it down. Great narration and slice!!

Wow - so many emotions

First of all, this was a really good book but very much a tear jerker. It’s about tragedy, loss and grief. My heart broke for each person in this story but I also felt anger. Some people use their grief as an excuse to be selfish and hateful and this story is about that as well. A mother who loses the most precious thing but then ruins other lives with her pain and grief.

Really disliked the MMC until the second half of the book. What a jerk. And the FMC was way too accommodating. A twist towards the end was a surprise. Overall worth the credit and will read more from this author.

Really good! Dark but sweet.

Enjoyable dark romance about a hardened criminal finding love and compassion even when he didn’t feel deserving. Strong and smart female character that was not at all annoying!! Big plus. Great plot and character development. I’d love to hear more about this couple in another book.
