Historia
Murder. Treason. Time travel. Army veteran Reuben Greyson must hunt down his father’s killer through the vast spacetime maze of the Chronos Project. Chronos is more than a time machine. The past cannot be altered, and the future is seemingly fixed. And yet, the dreamlike groanings of the machine and the players competing over its power appear to say otherwise. Caught in a vortex of hidden agendas, prophetic dreams, and tantalizing artifacts, Reuben and his team of time travelers unlock clues that lead to the gut-wrenching truth at the heart of the cryptic project.

Loved It!
Revisado: 07-15-23
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! As an avid fan of science-fiction, particularly time travel, I found its unique variation of the genre truly captivating. The numerous rules governing time travel added an intriguing layer of complexity to the story. Moreover, the author skillfully developed the characters and crafted a compelling storyline in the first book. Needless to say, I am eagerly anticipating the release of the second book to continue this enthralling journey!

Mild let down with the third book
Revisado: 03-08-17
Loved the first two books, excellent character development and plot, and incredible narration. Third book got a little too messy but the storyline. Still overall a very enjoyable series to listen to!

Historia
Ever since Martin Banks and his fellow computer geeks discovered that reality is just a computer program to be happily hacked, they've been jaunting back and forth through time, posing as medieval wizards and having the epic adventures that other nerds can only dream of having. But even in their wildest fantasies, they never expected to end up at the mercy of the former apprentice whom they sent to prison for gross misuse of magic and all-around evil behavior.

Yes. That was a good ending.
Revisado: 08-26-15
1st book was great, creative plot, got to the know the characters. 2nd book mostly frustrating to listen to, seemingly very intelligent characters with "supernatural" powers doing really stupid things. 3rd book was great, developed the key characters further, funny, kept my interest the whole time

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Started off slow...
Revisado: 07-05-15
Started off slow... it was difficult to be supportive of any of the characters early on, but the story developed nicely for the ending. Kept our attention during a long car trip.

Historia
When the obituary of legendary computer game architect Matthew Sobol appears online, a previously dormant daemon activates, initiating a chain of events that begins to unravel our interconnected world. This daemon reads news headlines, recruits human followers, and orders assassinations. With Sobol’s secrets buried with him, and as new layers of his daemon are unleashed, it’s up to Detective Peter Sebeck to stop a self-replicating virtual killer before it achieves its ultimate purpose - one that goes far beyond anything Sebeck could have imagined.

Wow, that was bad.
Revisado: 08-25-12
Normally the User Review star system works well for me. The book looked interesting and it got very good reviews. To my surprise this book was quite horrible.
Most books (and movies for that matter) start off with character development of the good guys and bad guys. The bad guys do bad things at the beginning of the book, the good guys then spend most of the book trying to right the wrong, and then usually the good guys win at the end.
SPOILER ALERT
In this book, the focus is on character development of the bad guys and their technology. It's difficult to figure out who the "hero" is among the good guys. The bad guys tear apart the good guys for the ENTIRE book. I kept hoping things would turn around but they did not. The book left me feeling unsatisfied. For example, say if you watched a Batman movie in which the bad guys always kicked Batman's butt and that's how the movie ended. That's kind of how I feel now.
Now of course maybe my perspective on which side is "good" and which is "bad" is wrong.... Of perhaps this is what Daniel Suarez wants us to feel after reading this book. In either case I feel that I wasted my time listening to this audiobook and wasted more time having to write this review.
