Historia
When boys act out, get into fights, or become physically aggressive, we can't avoid noticing their bad behavior. But it is easy to miss the subtle signs of aggression in girls: the dirty looks, the taunting notes, or the exclusion from the group, that send girls home crying.

Enlightening look at bullying behaviour
Revisado: 08-10-18
This helped me to understand the bullying I endured as a child, and also to realise that many adult women have not grown out of the unhealthy culture of hidden aggression. Although many of the scenarios described were of schoolchildren, I found that it is not too different from some adult friendship groups.
Narrator could be better but overall the flaws did not distract from the good content.

Historia
In this recorded retreat, based on the program Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change held at Omega Institute, Pema Chödrön and her teaching assistant, Meg Wheatley, provide a wealth of wisdom for learning to step right into the river: to be completely, fearlessly present even in the hardest times, the most difficult situations. It's the secret of being fully alive.

Brief

This is rather brief and light on content, which is not surprising as it is a recording of talks given at a retreat. I would recommend her full books instead of this -- her voice is calming and warm, the content seems too light for me.

Historia
Bill Bryson was struck one day by the thought that we devote more time to studying the battles and wars of history than to considering what history really consists of: centuries of people quietly going about their daily business. This inspired him to start a journey around his own house, an old rectory in Norfolk, considering how the ordinary things in life came to be.

Interesting content but poor narration
Revisado: 07-31-18
I found the book's subject matter fascinating. However the experience was marred by the narration, which was less than ideal. Bill's enunciation was unclear and muffled, words are slurred, I had difficulty focusing and following along to his voice. It was also rather monotonous. This books needs a different reader.
