Bestselling author, speaker, and world-traveling success coach Jen Sincero cuts through the din of the self-help genre with her own verbal meat cleaver in You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. In this refreshingly blunt how-to guide, Sincero serves up 27 bite-sized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, life-changing insights, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word.

Harmony of the universe bologna
Revisado: 12-15-17
If you are not offended by pseudoscientific sounding word salad then you may be able to stomach this spew. I, however, find the author’s approach to “high frequency” and “low frequency” cosmic energy levels to be both foolish and also irritating. If I found myself in a subway and the author was talking about this drivel with a friend I would have to leave the train just to avoid hearing such annoying yet earnest psychobabble.

Historia
This fictional account of Orwell's salad days as a penniless British writer in the early 1930s contains a good deal of autobiography, no self-pity, and much humor. It has become famous for its expose of working conditions inside the kitchens of posh French restaurants, where the book's narrator works at the bottom of the echelon as a dishwasher. Very funny, oftentimes bleak, and styled by the recognized master of 20th century prose, Orwell's behind-the-scenes restaurant tales will have you screaming for the check and eating at home forever.

Terrible Recording Quality
Revisado: 03-02-07
I was greatly looking forward to listening to this audio book. However, the quality of the recording made it impossible to listen to. It sounds as if it was recorded over the telephone with a cheap cassette recorder. I tried to listen to the first few hours but after much frustration, I just gave up. I wish audible would remaster this recording to help with the noise.

Just another intro to investing
Revisado: 02-12-05
I really expected that this book would give some practical tips on communicating about money. I have felt the strain of talking with my wife and parents about financial matters and I was expecting this book to be of assistance in understanding stress points, ways different generations think about money, risk tolerances, and other issues around money. This book did none of those things. This is basically a "spend less and stash money away even if you have debt" book. Frustratingly enough, it is not even a good book in that genre. Don't expect any actual tips on communication.
