Not a good book
Revisado: 03-25-23
I am disappointed with several aspects of this book. Unnecessary language, poorly written with a story line that takes too long to develop.

Historia
Lauren Russell often wondered why her father had been so adamant about teaching her skills that most other fathers wouldn't even consider teaching their daughters. Ever since she was little, she had been taught how to live and survive outdoors, and how to use firearms to protect herself and those around her. Some of the training had been a bit extreme. Or had it been? Many of her questions were answered the day the world as she knew it ended.

Audible does not wantto provide less than enhanced
Revisado: 04-29-17
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Why should we be forced to larger downloads when it is not needed or wanted? I will not buy Enhanced and try only to buy the level 3 if possible. This is being forced on readers like it or not!
Has What's Left of My World turned you off from other books in this genre?
Audible is rapidly turning me off from purchasing anything from them.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kevin Pierce?
Kevin Pierce is good.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger at Audible.

Difficult to scan for parts of book
Revisado: 01-14-16
What disappointed you about The Word of Promise Complete Audio Bible: NKJV?
It should have been easy to engineer the book so that different book parts might show. Instead it is a little like being blind and needing to listen for an extended time to locate where you are reading.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Word of Promise Complete Audio Bible: NKJV?
All the bible is good, it might be better with a method telling where you are currently at.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Narrators are good.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Very good book but poorly designed.

It takes more than one book to make single story.
Revisado: 09-07-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I have read two books and there must be a third book planned. Neither book had an ending. The writer must be laughing at us for making us buy multiple books for a single story.
What did you like best about this story?
The book was imaginative and possible.
Which scene was your favorite?
The realization that this could actually happen in and to America.
What character would you cut from Ebola K?
None
Any additional comments?
I would never recommend a partial book. I can think of numerous books forty hours long that the writer could have fleeced us but did not. This writer is not bound by such loyalty.

Historia

Can they do anything to protect themselves from this killer disease? Can they stop the terrorists?

Not a Stand Alone Book
Revisado: 08-08-15
What did you like best about Ebola K: A Terrorism Thriller? What did you like least?
This book shows some of the potential for those that want to create mayhem and destruction.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Have not decided yet. I will probably not purchase this writer's books for the principle of selling several books that should be one book.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The beginning of the book took too long in what should be personal about the writer and has nothing to do with the reader.
Do you think Ebola K: A Terrorism Thriller needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I do NOT like books that have no ending. Under this writer's method many of the well known writers such as Lee Child would make every book at least three separate books.
Any additional comments?
Not worth the effort since the writer shows he is more concerned about multiple books instead of making a single good read.

Terrible language Use
Revisado: 10-07-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would not recommend this to a close friend because of the language used. It is not needed if the book is any good.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
You have to go to another book if you want an ending.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator did as she could but the written portion constantly uses God's name in vain as well as other abuses of language.
Could you see Fire and Ice: A Liam Campbell Mystery being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Hollywood seems enamored with foul language, so this may work for them.
Any additional comments?
Decent story line, very good reader but HOLD The LANGUAGE down some.

Not Typical for David Baldacci
Revisado: 07-17-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I tried to listen to this book several times and after the third attempt I gave up. More than 1 hour spent and still I see nothing that seems like Baldacci in the least. I will not fight to complete this book. It serves no value to typical Baldacci readers.
Has The Finisher turned you off from other books in this genre?
Not sure what the genre is on this book.
What three words best describe Nicola Barber’s voice?
Reader's voice was good.
Any additional comments?
I am not sure what to say except this was a real surprise that it had David Baldacci's name on it.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Grisham back to his best.
Revisado: 11-02-13
What made the experience of listening to Sycamore Row the most enjoyable?
Grisham has a great storyline along with some of the earlier characters from earlier books. Add a great reader and you have a wonderful read.
What did you like best about this story?
The characters I have read in early books are back.
What does Michael Beck bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Michael Beck is among the top five readers in my opinion. Great voice control and often you get to thinking there are multiple readers.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book took a couple of days to complete due to interruptions at work but I enjoyed the anticipation of getting back to it.
Any additional comments?

The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman. One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

Great book with a full potential for present day
Revisado: 10-03-13
What did you love best about Enemies Foreign and Domestic?
Everything in this book is potentially real for today. I have found it difficult to put down. My wife listened first and found she was so angry with the dirty actions of our government. Our government could easily step over the line at any time. If you feel the constitution is valuable, read how some may attempt to discredit it in order to get selfish demands met.
What did you like best about this story?
Potentially possible for today.
What three words best describe Mike Kemp’s voice?
Difficult to hear when he attempts to change from one speaker to another. One voice for all.
If you could take any character from Enemies Foreign and Domestic out to dinner, who would it be and why?
None
Any additional comments?
