Presidential elections are different yet similar

A very interesting book that describes the 1948 election with four major candidates that had a major impact on the election. The author described each party, their platform and campaign strategy, Mr. Baime set the domestic as well as the internations scene with all of the issues and criseses of the time. The data was taken from memoirs and what seemed like every major newspaper and numerous small town newspapers. Even in 1948 there was talk of the Russians involved in influencing the outcome of the election. Even though we know the outcome the book was captivating to the end. Mr Aielllo's naration was very easy to listen to.

Outstanding book and marvelously narrated!

I found The Healing Hand to be a very inspiring and thought provoking. As we age and more of our friends and family are passing on, it is a good book to keep on the virtual bookshelf and listen to every year or so as the book is under 4 hours. I plan to recommend the book to my wife and children should my demise be sudden, and I plan to have the hard copy book on my nightstand should my final illness be extended. The book will be of assistance to the living and dying by helping us engage in the discussions recommended by the author. I enjoy listening to a book when the author narrates the book and Ms. Deutsch does an exceptional job conveying her message and personal stories with compassion and empathy.
