excellent narration
Revisado: 06-05-22
Mary Peiffer narrates these Grafton Novels and she is perfect for the role. The parts that are witty makes me laugh out loud, Mary is able to really make the thoughts come out.

Historia
Nina once bought into the idea that her fancy liberal arts degree would lead to a fulfilling career. When that dream crashed, she turned to stealing from rich kids in LA alongside her wily Irish boyfriend, Lachlan. Nina learned from the best: Her mother was the original con artist, hustling to give her daughter a decent childhood despite their wayward life. But when her mom gets sick, Nina puts everything on the line to help her, even if it means running her most audacious, dangerous scam yet.

Historia
John Sandford's acclaimed Prey novels featuring the brilliant Lucas Davenport have plunged millions of readers into the darkest recesses of the criminal mind. Now Lucas has met his match. His newest nemesis is more intelligent, more deadly, than any he has tracked before: a kidnapper, a violator, and a cruel, wanton killer who knows more about mind games than Lucas himself.

What a sexist perverted egomaniac
Revisado: 09-01-20
Sanford's book demonstrates his sexism and ego. The men in this book were all demeaning and the women all victims. The continued rape descriptions show a disturbed author.
The narrorators mouth was sticky and hard to listen to. Definitely do not listen to with headphones as it is worse.
I do not recommend this book

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A great book for Everyone
Revisado: 06-27-20
I usually stick to mystery's and action so choosing this was uncertain. I loved it! it has something for everyone. The author nailed the area and its natural world of the area. The narrorator was great. The reading was not forced and each character was apparent. Thank you for a great book.

Historia
In the quiet of twilight, on an early autumn day, 26-year-old Elisa Vandersteel is killed while riding her bicycle along the Charles River. It appears she was struck by lightning - except the weather is perfectly clear, with not a cloud in sight. Dr. Kay Scarpetta, the Cambridge Forensic Center's director and chief, decides at the scene that this is no accidental act of God. Her investigation becomes complicated when she begins receiving a flurry of bizarre poems from an anonymous cyberbully who calls himself Tailend Charlie.

Not her usual good story
Revisado: 05-04-20
I could not figure out if the story was bad or the narrorator was bad and I think its a bit of both. This book makes Kay out to be self absorbed and caddy. The narrorator makes it even worse making her sound grousing and hubristic. The first several chapters were about the weather, giving it a slow start. I have been a fan of Cornwell for 20+ years and all others are outstanding. I encourage her others, this one just falls short for her, and I hope never use this narrator again.

Revisado: 04-15-20
This book, like the others I have listened to completely draw me into the story as if I am there, living the characters lives.
I don't want the stories to end. Well written and well read. I am ready to start a new one immediately.
