I wasted my time trying to keep listening to this. I feel like the story could be ok, but it sounds like a middle schooler wrote it with the obsession with dogs licking themselves and the crude immature language. even worse is the robotic narrator. I could maybe have gotten through it if the narrator wasn't so bad. that's a lot of wasted hours and I can't finish it. might be interesting for a 12 year old boy, but big nope from me

it's fun and different but omg dogs wrong!

great story. as always. but please please research great Pyrenees. you are welcome to meet mine. they are not active and they don't want to play non stop or even ever .. they are the laziest dogs ever. spent years breeding good working dogs. they do like to run when it's not hot. still fun seeing a breed I love in a book like this

major performance issues

this could be a very good book, but listening to it is frustrating. the robotic tinny voice for the mind speech ruins every single interaction. not sure if I will be able to finish. might try reading it instead.

They say a narrator can make or break a book. The narrator is the worst I have ever heard. The narration is choppy like he's reading a report. It was so quiet I just couldn't hear. The attempt at voices is so bad I physically cringed every time I heard it. This narrator needs to find a different job. I will never try another book with this guy reading.

Horrible narration

Where do we start... I swore this was a different narrator at first. You don't choose to change your voice for each character after several books! Ayla and this "Russian" voice is horrible. It makes her sound like she's not intelligent, and the accent itself is horrid. Then changing the way she pronounced the different groups? Ugh... I love this series. Read it 10+ times. I didn't like this old sounding narrator from the beginning, Ayla is supposed to be super young, this narrator is not capable of sounding young. It's the narrator that ruins it. I hope it's fixed in the next one. If not I will just re read the rest.

I loved reading this book. it was great then. hearing it helped bring it to life even more. the extra content did add to things for me. even the movie was good, the old one. haven't seen more than that. definitely a book to experience in every way. brings the characters to life in a way that only one cant do alone. I will always "see" the characters like I did in the movie, but I definitely enjoyed this on every format.
