Historia
Matthew Riker keeps to himself, doesn't cause trouble, and never talks about his past. But after a chance encounter with a woman and a small child on the run, Riker will have to make a choice: use his hard-won skills to protect two innocent victims, or stay in the safety of his quiet life. What follows is an adrenaline-soaked thrill ride that will take Riker on a cross-country chase, through the seedy underbelly of a New York criminal empire, and into the darkest places of the human heart.

Revisado: 03-12-21
This is well written with the perfect narrator
Action all the way thru. As a first novel it’s one of the best ever. Plot is very good and narration flows because Jay Snyder kills it.
The Import is enjoyable start to finish. I competed it in one day. I’m glad we have one more new author with skill of Jack Carr and flow of Ben Coes in my opinion.
Now I’m starting the next installment.
Amazing!

Flawless
Revisado: 10-13-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! Mills just pulled off the impossible. Survivor feels, sounds, and has the heart of every other Rapp novel. It's Flynn through and through. I kept listening for the change in tempo or feel but it never happened. It is prefect Mitch Rapp. Kyle Mills is for real.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Rapp and Hurrley are a pair that will be hard to beat in any novel. But hopefully we will get the chance to see even better in the books to come?...
What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Real life. Guidall has always stayed the same form the first offering in the series. He is the master of his craft and no more than here. Thank you Sir.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Hurlley's death. You can see it coming but wow what a man! Takes out Rapp's nemesis with one bite and eats the gun at the same time. No better way to exit than this.
Any additional comments?
I read an article quoting George W. Bush asking Flynn who he had inside the CIA. Because this series is so close to what goes on in real life. Flynn replied, it just take watching what is happening in the world, and having an active imagination with some intuitive thought.
That in my opinion has made Vince Flynn believable and my favorite author.
We will miss him.
Having said that, please allow Kyle Mills to carry this torch into the future!!!
He has proven his ability and gravitas to not only make Mitch Rapp come alive but carry on the story.

Revisado: 09-17-15
If you could sum up Patriot in three words, what would they be?
Does it again
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Absolutely. Ted Bell has a style of writing that is smooth and elegant. He is a true word smith, and when narrated by John Shea, well that is perfection! Current events are captured with Hawke's uncanny ability to get in over his head and find a way out, as this novel does masterfully.
What about John Shea’s performance did you like?
Perfect.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
This book as a while is what counts. I think Mr. Bell is showing his agitation with the current sad state of political affairs in our nation in the best way he can and in doing has given us another masterpiece. This book actually requires one to think what if. Much like Brad Thor.
Kind of scares the crap out of you, to consider how low we've sank as a nation.
Any additional comments?
This is not the normal back handed humor I have come to love from Bell, however it is crisp,
current, and an absolute privilege to listen to. Great writing, fabulous story, perfect narration.
Loved Every Minute. Thank you Ted Bell may we have another please...

James Lee Burke Has Out Done Himself Again
Revisado: 07-18-14
What made the experience of listening to Wayfaring Stranger the most enjoyable?
If you are a JLB fan w/ Will Patton as Nar. than you get the draw of the coupling!!! If not, well , you havent istened enough. Burke is by far the king of is style and Patton has the voice to capure what this novel, witch leaves you wanting more, takes you to, a time past that is not flatering but so real you can taste it.
What did you like best about this story?
it is flawless through every transition, never forced or off beat, Perfect timing.
Which scene was your favorite?
The wink. It is the tread that runs true through the entire book, or the meaning of it anyway.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and I did.
Any additional comments?
Once again we get to see reality through the eyes of a master story teller and word smith, that has the abiliy to make one feel every emoition God gave us, in spades. Thank you Mr Burke and Mr Patton for a wonderful day.

slow start but makes up for it in the end
Revisado: 11-19-10
This one is well worth the time and $ but starts slow but gets the job done in the way only Vachss is so well known for. This is not a Burke novel and some may try to hold it to that litmas, but it is best left judged as a stand alone work if you are a Burke fan. Vachss has once again given us an education in an area most will never have the courage to ever go and make it a pleasure to experience. So sit back and enjoy.

Revisado: 10-20-10
Lee Child never fails to entertain and Worth Dying For is one more fabulous novel in a line of great novels! You might think The Reacher character would be near the end, however Child has upped the anty one more time. I loved this one from start to finish. Worth Dying For has action from start to finish and has no filler in between. Dick Hill is the master of his craft and never so much as Reacher.
Thank you Mr Child for a wonderful ride and please keep them coming.

Historia
A major North American hydroelectric dam is blown up and the largest off-shore oil field in this hemisphere is destroyed in a brutal, coordinated terrorist attack. But there was one factor that the terrorists didn't take into account when they struck the Capitana platform off the coast of Colombia—slaughtering much of the crew and blowing up the platform—and that was the Capitana crew chief Dewey Andreas. Dewey, former Army Ranger and Delta, survives the attack, rescuing as many of his men as possible. But the battle has just begun.

OH MAN, WHAT A RIDE!!!
Revisado: 10-14-10
My goodness where has Ben Coes been. Please do yourself a favor and buy this one.
Power Down is a mix of Flynn's, Mitch Rapp guts, Thor's, Scott Harvath painful humor, and can it even be compared to Andrew Vachss's action? OH YES AND MORE!!! Trust me when I say you will absolutely enjoy POWER DOWN. I have listened to every book in every series that is remotely of this type of thriller and Ben Coes has done the unthinkable with his first outing in matching step for step with even my favorite Ted Bell with Alex Hawk. The one thing this book is missing is fluff. No mind numbing deep delving into why the trees are so green just to add words to the page. As I listened it just got better!
So do Power Down and Ben Coes the favor of our support and enable him to give us a second installment with the amazing Dewey Andeas, the Rapp and Harvath of this great Thriller.
