Wow! This book is so insightful. I learned so much and unlearned even more. Dr. Harrison teaches about understand substance use disorders and their risk factors. She illuminates the need for compassion and inspires empathy.

This book should be required reading for physicians, parents, and every high school student.

These time stamps are worth visiting and revisiting. Some have guidance—including sample actual words—on how to talk to your kids. Some are other gems worth hearing over and over.

I wasn’t sure what to expect and don’t want to spoil anything, but the audiobook was awesome. The last 1/3 brings everything together.

Mark Twain's quirky "translation" of Eve's diary was worth the listen. Charming and sweet, it's the first person perspective of Eve before and after getting expelled from the garden of Eden. I bought the audiobook after loving the narrator, Alice Anne English, in "With Every Breath," and she did not disappoint. Fabulous reading.

With beautifully developing characters, Elizabeth Camden guides us through an unlikely, suspenseful love story. Set in 19th century Washington, DC, With Every Breath combines a physician's dangerous quest for tuberculosis cure, family dynamics of two people from different backgrounds, a protagonist struggling with faith in the face of death, a suspenseful criminal investigation, and the choices of two people who fall for each other in a complex world.

With her narration, Alice Anne English elevated an already alluring story line. She accomplished a feat I didn't know was possible: her reading was both utterly soothing and completely captivating at the same time. As I listened to her speak, I found myself laughing out loud (literally), tearing up in an uber on the way to work, and rooting for the protagonists with the gusto of a high school coach. Every time I paused With Every Breath, I caught myself giddy rethinking the plot and eagerly planning when I could listen again. It was magical. I'll be buying more audiobooks narrated by Alice Anne English right away.
