Historia
His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Predictable and somewhat slow
Revisado: 02-16-25
I always like the characters in this series but would not rank this effort as high as most of the books

Revolutionary ideas are often just that – ideas. To realize your vision of bringing an innovation to life you’ll need the knowledge and confidence to protect those ideas from infancy to realization. This game has the highest of stakes and you need an unfair advantage to give you the best possible chance to win.

As a new patent attorney, this book has been invaluable! It makes such a complex subject much more approachable.

I read fiction to get away from all the politics!
Revisado: 12-02-20
I have read (or should I say listened to) every one of Mr. Connelly's books and love his many great characters. To say I am disappointed in this book would be an understatement of large proportions. One of my favorite characters (Mickey Haller) was dragged into the 2020 politicized world and his battle for freedom took a back seat as Mr. Connelly took pot shot after pot shot at the current president and his administration. I might as well have been watching CNN or reading a leftist magazine.
I am not even political. I pretty much sit in the middle of our 2 major party's views. I just wanted to listen to one of my favorite author's new books while driving 8 hours to pick up a load for our new business. Unfortunately this author was not interested in giving me a piece of fiction to enjoy but, instead, was determined to jam his opinions down my throat.
I sped past the biggest part of this book and listened to the end. I probably listened to only 75% of the book but was highly disappointed at the content and the storyline. I feel like Mr. Connelly simply put a book out for 2020 without much plot planning and with an agenda on his mind. If I want to know an author's political views, I'll google it and read about it. I will not be held prisoner while trying to listen to the newest book from who used to be my absolute favorite author!
