First of all I love this author, however I did not love this book. It wasn’t written bad, the story was just way too angsty and depressing and the spat between these two was drawn out for waaaay too long. It was 95% of them fighting and 5% love story. Not worth it to me. I have enough drama in my own life I don’t want to listen to hours upon hours of revenge and hurting each other. There needs to be more of a balance between angst and happiness. I’m super bummed as I was so excited for this book. Also CJ Bloom was way too old sounding for Moonshine, and didn’t fit her at all. Like at all. I had such a hard time remembering that she was a 19/20 year old gorgeous African American. Jacob sounded great as usual just a horrible matchup. Hoping the next book is better with more feel good moments!

What made the experience of listening to Beast the most enjoyable?

The story of beauty and the beast has been told in many different ways, so coming up with a version that holds your interest and keeps you wanting more is difficult. A Zavarelli did an amazing job at making a well known tale seem unique and one of a kind. I didn't want to stop listening

If you are a fan of A Zavarelli then you will love this book. She knows how to write about scarred characters and how love can free their demons. Even if you've heard the take of beauty and the beast 10 times, I promise you haven't heard it told this good.

My brain hurts (review of series more than just this final book)

I really wanted to love this series. I really did. I FLOVE JA Huss, but I just couldn't get into this series. I struggled through all the books because come on it's JA Huss, you know nothing is what it seems so you just keep waiting for it to all make sense. But you never feel like it does. You still have questions as to why people did things and what the significance of certain things were. There was just too much going on. Too much to follow. It's almost like she tried too hard to make it this big mystery that it just got too complex and there was just too much going on. You're constantly confused and trying to remember what all the details of the past books were about. Like seriously-instead of feeling that satisfied "oh now I get it, it all makes sense" that you usually get with the last book I'm feeling like thank God it's over, my brain hurts. I'm really not trying to bash like I said I absolutely adore this author, and maybe someone with a bigger brain will have it all figured out, but as for me I'm glad it's over. The narration on each book was out of the park fantastic so that was a plus. While I don't recommend this series I do highly recommend everything else by this author!!!

I am just finishing up my Marni Mann binge listen, and I have to say I ended on a great one! I do wish I'd discovered that Unblocked was in audio before I listened to Wild Aces, but it was still totally amazing and really didn't effect anything. However if you've not listened to either I would start with this and go right into Wild Aces. Both are amazing!!! And both can be standalone's. Derek and Frankie are the perfect couple. It was funny, sexy, entertaining, captivating, and kept me wanting more the whole time. Loved that there weren't huge misunderstandings and tons of angst! I highly recommend!

Wonderful addition to HIM & US!

What a perfect story! First, if you haven't listened to HIM & US- go do that, then listen to this one. This is Jaimie's sisters story and it's funny, sexy, and highly entertaining!!! Definitely 5 stars. I was so sad when I finished US, but this was the perfect follow up, giving us more Wesmie ❤️ Blake is totally swoon worthy, and Jessica is so sweet, they make an adorable couple. The female narrator sounded a little too old for Jess, I would have preferred a younger narrator, but the story was fabulous & Teddie Hamilton's voice is pure yummmm.

An absolute must listen! Sweet, funny, romantic, and wholesome ❤️

Wow where to start? This is such a sweet, funny, heartwarming story that you won't be able to resist falling in love with ❤️ it's not the typical dad falls in love with nanny story. It's genuine. It's real life. It's beautiful. And the narration? Nothing is better than Andi Arndt and Christian Yum. I mean Christian Fox. They make the characters real. Absolutely loved it ❤️

Good series so far, however I'm getting tired of the same narrator

As it is an easy series to listen to, I don't know that I'll continue on. I'm getting a little tired of the same narrator for every couple. It would be ok if it had a male and female narrator, but if I hear the female narrator saying "fuuuuuuuuuck" again as the man is having sex I might just wash my ears out. I don't usually mind just a female narrator, but she should never have to narrate the males point of view during a sex scene. I seriously cringed every time there was a sex scene because I knew it was coming. It literally made me cringe and laugh out loud every time I heard it and I'm usually not laughing during a sex scene. Even though they were descriptive I was not the least bit involved just because the way it was narrated. If you're going I have both people talking during a love scene it needs to have two narrators, or only be told from the females point of view. Don't have a female narrate for the male, it's just not sexy.

Even though I spent most of the book hating El Diablo, I couldn't help but hold out hope of a HEA for him. There were a lot of wtf moments, and very emotional moments, all great aspects of a book. Even though it was rather long, I couldn't stop listening and really did enjoy it overall. Narration was decent, the male narrator wasn't the best at knowing where to put emphasis on words, often reading as if there were periods in the middle of sentences rather than the end. The female was excellent. There were a few audio mistakes and repeated phrases, but nothing too bad. I would recommend this. It's definitely unlike anything I've heard before.

Very unique

While I would hate to ever come in contact with someone like Jake, the story flowed well and kept me listening. I've honestly never listened to anything like it. I pretty much listened straight through and never lost interest which is saying quite a bit for me. Narration was wonderful.
