Historia
As the son of a mere merchant, Klöss wants nothing more than to pass his trials and join the ranks of the Bjornmen raiders, breaking free of his father’s ambitions and following in the footsteps of his forebears. Times are changing in the Barren Isles. The centuries-old traditions of coastal plunder are making way for outright conquest, and the threat of war is looming.

Historia
When Kole Reyna, Ember of Last Lake is wounded by a demon unlike any they have seen before, the Emberfolk believe it is a sign of an ancient enemy returned - a powerful Sage known as the Eastern Dark. Good audio book, story needs some work
Revisado: 09-13-22
Narration was excellent as always. Story has some flaws in character development, hard to get invested in them, hard to know what they actually care about. Good world building and story line though. Not enough to get me to continue the series, author missed ending the book at the obvious cliff hanger and pver-explained the ending. An hour and a half after the climax I was bored, and now they want me to read the next one?

Historia
The Academy of Chaenbalu has stood against magic for centuries. Hidden from the world, acting from the shadows, it trains its students to detect and retrieve magic artifacts, which it jealously guards from the misuse of others. Because magic is dangerous: Something that heals can also harm, and a power that aids one person may destroy another. Of the academy’s many students, only the most skilled can become Avatars - warrior thieves, capable of infiltrating the most heavily guarded vaults - and only the most determined can be trusted to resist the lure of magic.

Addicting story, amazing narration
Revisado: 03-10-22
I've listed to hundreds of fantasy audio books. Peter Kenny is hands down one of the best narrators. additionally, this book is ma sd tearfully crafter, original storyline, great world building, and relatable characters who aren't over the top.
