The truth about blue people...fascinating!

This was a very interesting read about the color of skin and how it affected ignorant people who viciously judged others simply because of their skin. I am very grateful for president Roosevelt and all he did for women and those living in the poorest parts of our country, the USA. Very educational.

I was instantly in love with Evie's character. Her quiet demeanor made me feel at home and not alone in this world of quiet, country mice who have powers unbeknownst to the outside world until the right time. This book led me to watch all of the Jane Austen movies made to date, while reading this book. In the end, women have continued to prove their prowess, power, intellect, charms, and professionalism equal to their male counterparts.

I was told about the Netflix series, watched it and had to read the book. This heroine's spirit is so incredibly brave and true to herself. This led to One of Us, the documentary on Netflix. This vicarious journey has intrigued me and mystified me. One guaranteed lesson is that every single human being on the face of this Earth is fallible but it takes the heroes to embrace their weaknesses and transform them into strengths.
