Disappointing to say the least

I've been a huge fan of this series but this book was tough to get through. Many inconsistencies with past story lines. Brianna's voice drove me absolutely crazy - she is supposedly a young woman but had the voice of an annoying old lady. I thought the whole time that this was the last book in the series and it ended with a cliff hanger.....really??? Many characters that I couldn't care less about in this book. I waited so long and was so disappointed - but not so disappointed that I won't give the next book a chance.

Predictable from the start. I never warmed up to the characters. I hate to “quit” a book so I forced myself to listen until the end but unfortunately there were no surprises. Slooooooooow!

Big Thumbs Down

There were just so many parts of this book that are completely unbelievable but this one is where you lost me......What new lawyer walks into a law office without an appointment, asks for a job, gets it and walks away with a legal file to work on? Talon and Jade meet and carry on an affair under the same roof as Talon's sister and she never finds out, never hears anything? I love romance novels but I would not categorize this as romance. it was basically porn and I found a lot of the language cringe worthy. I hung in there until the end and thought I had accidentally fast forwarded. To my surprise.....it was the end of the book and unfortunately, I didn't connect with the characters or enjoy it enough to care about listening to the next book in the series.

I started listening to this book and immediately wondered if I had accidentally ordered a Young Adult book. As far as I could tell, it is meant for adults. At my age, I am not that into teenage romance novels. The dialogue between the “youngsters” was long, drawn out and frankly, boring. I hung in there until the end. I imagined my 12 year old self enjoying this book but at my current age found it disappointing at best.

I had a really. hard time getting into this book. I never connected with any of the characters and found the plot to be unbelievable......and not in a good way.

It is rare that I am unable to finish an audio book - for some reason I just could not get through this one. Perhaps I'll try again another day.

Excellent book!

This is a really well written book that I couldn’t put down! I felt like I connected with the characters. I would highly recommend.

Predictable

I listened to a couple of hours and couldn’t take it anymore. Good girl meets irresistible bad boy. Maybe it gets a lot better....other reviews were good but I couldn’t hang in there any longer.
