Amazing Narrator
Revisado: 07-12-19
After reading the unmatched first book in this series, I immediately had to get this second installment. The narrator was the same from the first and was one of the best I've found on audible. I would listen to any of his books, he's exquisite. Perfect for the Victorian tone.
The book itself was nearly as good as the first, quick adventure and fascinating magic. I love this series.

I couldn't get enough of this book. The narrator was genius, and I ended up making sure I downloaded his version for the follow up book. I was swept away into Victorian escapist fantasy and wanted to stay forever. I wish there were more books like it.

Seeing this book pop up on audible was a wonderful surprise. It's something I've been meaning to read for years and in my circumstance it's easier for me to get through books in the audio format. I've been absorbing it in chunks, resisting to passages and appreciating hearing the pronunciation of the Hebrew.
The narrator does an excellent job and is very precise with his words. Though initially disappointed the narrator was not female (and British), I quickly adjusted to the top notch work of the narrator.
This book is a revelation, and should be read by every serious occultist.

Literally no other books like it.

This stands alone in that it offers a real practical guide for those who want to become a part of a traditions like Gardnerian or Alexandrian Wicca. There are no magic spells, rituals or secrets in the book. It talks about what covens are, how the operate and how to find and approach them. It is geared towards those already interested in Wicca who want to pursue coven work or what to understand what it means to part of a lineaged tradition. The narration is a little hit or miss but it's still massively enjoyable and informative. Thorn has a easy writing style and it's a super easy book to get into.
