Historia
In 1962, Don and Carol Richardson risked their lives to share the gospel with the Sawi people of New Guinea. Peace Child tells their unforgettable story of living among these headhunters and cannibals who valued treachery through fattening victims with friendship before the slaughter. God gave Don and Carol the key to the Sawi hearts via a redemptive analogy from their own mythology.

It was amazing to hear this story and to understand what life is like for Tibetan monks. This story is a reminder that everything in the Christian’s life is used for their good and for the glory of God. The Lord knows what each individual person needs and how to use the most hopeless of situations to bring about His good.

Historia
Feeling peace in the midst of struggles and disappointments is not something that comes naturally to most. As Christians, however, this state of constant contentment is a waiting gift from God that needs only to be accepted and practiced. Puritan pastor Jeremiah Burroughs explains how to lean into God’s will and live in a way that is unafraid to fight temptation, overcome anxieties, and show God’s love to others.

Incredible & encouraging truth
Revisado: 06-22-23
This book was a huge encouragement for me & offered so much practical wisdom for living more contently in Christ. As the author states, it’s easier to write teachings about contentment than live it out - it’s a life long practice. It was so good I bought a hard copy to reference, this will be a book I return to again & again.

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

Incredible & Inspiring
Revisado: 01-07-23
It was a joy to hear this told by Jackie herself. Her words were beautiful and the way she told her story was inspiring. She doesn’t glamorize sin, she tells it like it is, and she points constantly back to God as the ultimate truth. A beautifully Biblical story about how God continues calling the broken to Himself for His glory and our goodness.

Historia
After her release from a concentration camp, Corrie ten Boom set out to become what she called a “tramp for the Lord,” traveling around the world at the direction of God and proclaiming his message everywhere. Throughout her life-long experiences, she learned a few lessons in God’s great classroom, which she here shares with listeners. Corrie introduces us to her former prison guard, who asks her for forgiveness; a war-crippled lawyer with a soul as twisted and deformed as his limbs; and more.
