Love the book. I’ve listened multiple times

Wow. Just an incredible novel, that’s also tied to IT. Yes, I definitely worked at a company where we had a key project that was late to market and didn’t bring the expected value. We however never did turn the corner. We just keep limping along, trying to be heroic.
Again, love the book. Enjoy listening.

Historia
Drawing on his years of reporting, Jenkins examines the reemergence of progressive faith-based activism, detailing its origins and contrasting its goals with those of the religious right. Today’s rapidly expanding interfaith coalition - which includes Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and other faiths - has become a force within the larger “resistance” movement. Jenkins profiles Washington political insiders as well as a new generation of progressive faith leaders at the forefront today.

This has been an awesome book. Whereas Jack and I probably disagree in the visible nature of our politics, but this is a really great book. The passion for Jesus and His name being exalted is quite evident in the pages of this book. Jack takes a journalistic perspective that is extremely well researched and backed up by practical, boots on the ground advocacy. Together we can make a difference. The Holy Spirit is call YOU to action today!

Historia
In The Unicorn Project, we follow Maxine, a senior lead developer and architect, as she is exiled to the Phoenix Project, to the horror of her friends and colleagues, as punishment for contributing to a payroll outage. She tries to survive in what feels like a heartless and uncaring bureaucracy and to work within a system where no one can get anything done without endless committees, paperwork, and approvals. One day, she is approached by a ragtag bunch of misfits who say they want to overthrow the existing order, to liberate developers, to bring joy back to technology work.

Great book. Managed to be a sequel without being a sequel. Great listen. I hope this bit of fiction will continue to have a positive impact on our industry and the workforce. Be nice to people, remove obstacles, keep on learning.
